Tuition had been paid in full, including having a financial exit meeting prior to graduation and receiving diploma ensuring all debts had been paid. 5 1/2 years later without hearing anything from this school, I receive an unwarranted bill from collections wrongly stating that I owe over $3,000. They are scamming former students.Business response

****** did graduate with a zero balance. Unfortunately, during our 2018 Audit of our accounts by the **** we had to adjust several student accounts refunding Federal Student Aid money (due to overpayment) leaving balances on the student accounts. When this occurred, letters were sent to each of these students informing them of this audit and overpayment so they could make arrangements to settle any outstanding balances. These letters were sent to the most current addresses we have on file, and we received no return address forms. During the time period of Covid we were not allowed to do any collections due to the hardship it would cause college students. We have recently started reaching out to all the students who have balances at the college. Again, we explain about how the balances have originated and work hard to come up with a way that will benefit students who owe the balance and how to get the balance paid off. In no way do we try to scam anyone, just correct audit issues from prior years. We made several attempts to reach out to ****** with no response.
