Just had purchased a used car and took into 2valley for its first oil change service due 3/24/23. At that I was never told anything about a leak. ( After going back and looking through all the invoices I noticed a diagnostic note of oil drain plug leak along with them not replacing gasket) $285.16 invoice #40912. The car was taken in again on 8/11/23 for oil change service invoice #42440 $150.66. At this service no gasket was installed and car was leaking oil. I called took back in on 8/14/23 invoice 42464 $ 63.35 so they could install gasket and refill with oil. Took car in again 10/31/23 for an oil change invoice #43444 $152.81. Picked up car at closing time noticed it was leaking oil and called shop Jeff the manager picked I asked if gasket had been installed this time as I noticed oil leak. He went back to confirm they had installed. He said it should subside. I took my car into another shop SimplyEuro for a check engine light 1/2024. With that they fixed an oil pressure. During that fix they noticed missing oil filter pieces that then caused the oil pressure intermittent. They did an oil change as well $ 433.17. I took car back in when I confirmed that car was leaking oil on 2/23/24. Simplyeuro said they had missed saying that car had oil drain plug and oil pan leak back in 1/2024 and quoted me $4,300. Upon finding all this information is when I went back to 2valley tire services. In emails, calls, in person I have tired to resolve this matter seeking for them repay expenses that was due on them and now these expenses as the incorrect services have lead to this. Simplyeuro serviced my car 2/2023 and did not see oil drain plug leaking as 2valley did a month later and failed to say and do not recall it being on original invoice. They 2valley tire said they are "willing" to give me $1,000 total which includes the fix of the oil pressure along with past mistakes done by their shop. I have invoices, email's, and voice messages from shop.Business response

This is a classic he said / she said between two shops and a client who wants repairs done at no charge. We have had other issues with the Client and her car due to staggered fitment tires that were not able to be warrantied.
The drain plug was never replaced at our shop, only the drain plug gasket. Changing oil has nothing to do with a oil pan gasket leaking. If there was a oil leak in October the client should have not waited until January to bring the car to another shop. A service was performed in January 2024 (NO ISSUES WERE NOTED) The Client then took the car back to the other shop a month later, February 2024 because of an oil leak. This is when the shop informed the Client of the oil pan issue. This shop stated that the incorrect sized drain plug had been installed (which again has nothing to do with the Oil Pan). In reviewing all of the CAR FAX notes, it does not show where a drain plug was changed. (Perhaps before this Client owned the car) After heated conversations in our shop and over the phone I told the Client I would only have email conversations with her.
We offered to reimburse for the $433.17 as we believe there could have been a faulty Filter Housing Cap from the Nov 1, 2023 appointment, and an additional approximately $600 for the unfortunate situation. The Client refused stating " I will not settle".
The Client had the other shop do the Oil Pan Repair and had forwarded an email from us stating the $1000 reimbursement offered, but did not include the portion of the email where she refused the reimbursement. This shop called us on Friday 4/12/24 to collect. We informed the shop of the Clients final email response her her threat of the BBB complaint.

I am rejecting this response because: 2valley tire from the beginning has made mistakes in the services provided and I have all the documentation to prove. I purchased the car at the end of Jan. 2023. The first shop to service it was SimplyEuro in Feb. 2023 due to a check engine light. At that time of service and inspection no oil leak was present. In March 2023 car was taken in to 2valley for an oil change. The invoice they provided me when I requested them in March 2024 due to the oil pan leak is when I was able to see and review all the mistakes they had done and charged me. The invoice for in March 2023 has a note under diagnostic that they noticed oil pan leak. Yet they still did the oil change incorrectly and missed putting in the drain plug gasket. The oil change they did on 8/11/23 also did not have the oil drain gasket put it and car then was noticeably leaking oil. At that service they have noted that a tire rotation could not be done because of staggered tire fit yet on the March 2023 service it was done and charged. I took the care back in 8/14/23 to them where they then installed the gasket and refilled with oil again I was charged for service when it was their mistake. On the the Nov. 2023 service oil change it again was leaking oil I called to make sure gasket had been installed to what claim it was. In Jan.2024 car was taken into SimplyEuro for engine light. At that time car was due for oil change and they did it. At that is when that shop noticed that the oil pressure (engine light) was due to the mistake from 2valley incorrect oil change and missing filter. Cost for that was $433.17. Then car was taken back in a couple weeks later due to oil leak. That is when it was revealed about the oil pan leak. The one place that serviced my car was those two shops. So yes they are the ones that are responsible for repairs. I did have SimplyEuro repair. They covered part of that bill $933.71. 2valley tire is responsible for the remainder what I paid out of pocket $2,500 along with the pervious cost of repairs for their mistakes. That is as follows $433.17 oil house repair missing filter, $63.35 gasket and oil fill due to not installing gasket, oil pan replacement $2,500 total $ 2,999.52. There is no he said said she said. The proof is in the services or lack of correct services done to car. All the proof of this information is in invoices and payments made.
Regards,
Irene Figueroa
