During COVID, my husband and I contracted with Budget Blinds (***************************) to install plantation shutters in our home. ******** and his son installed the shutters and indicated we had a warranty for any issues that might arise. Within the first year, I notified Budget Blinds that we were having issues with some of the shutters falling open, which we needed fixed. Shortly after August 2021, ********'s son came and serviced the shutters. He told me that if the shutters began falling open again, I would need to have them replaced under the warranty. Just a couple months after ********'s son tightened the shutters, they began falling open again. Specifically, the shutters in my daughter's nursery were problematic. I called Budget Blinds again on 11/16/21 to indicate that I wanted to have the shutters in my daughter's room replaced under the warranty as they are defective. ******** and I traded missed calls back and forth, which I have supplied documentation of the voicemail transcriptions, but ultimately, on 11/26/21, ******** called asking for specific issues. My husband returned his call and ******** indicated he would order the replacements. Beginning around Feb. or Mar. 2022, I called Sterling to check on the timeline. He indicated he didn't have it in front of him, but would call me back. I have not heard from *************************** since that call in early 2022. I have called no less than 4 times over the course of 2022 & been told my message is marked as "urgent" for ******** to call me back. I also reported this to their corporate office, but because it's an independent franchise, they cannot help. My mother-in-law has also called 2 times, with no call back. It is incredibly frustrating to have paid $4,536.20 for shutters with a warranty that Budget Blinds has no intention of honoring.We simply want either all of our money back to replace the shutters & have them match, or for them to make good on the warranty and replace the shutters in my daughter's nursery.
