August 2021 and **** 2022 I took my car into Sun Valley Automotive for repair after checking reviews and going in and talking to them about what i needed repaired they assured me they could do all this work. Work to be done is as follows: the A/C not cooling, rear door lock that would not unlock, tail light that would not go off, check engine light that would not reset, replace daytime running light bulb. It took 1 week to get my car back. All repairs were completed to my satisfaction.Within 3 months the A/C was blowing hot again and the check engine light was back on (this was within 2 weeks) and the rear door lock again did not work I paid almost $800.00 for these repairs in August I called Sun Valley they told me to bring my car back in as it was under warranty well Covid hit again and I being a high risk person opted not to go out when I finally had the opportunity it was **** of 2022 Car was still under warranty I brought it back explained the situation they took my car and said they would take care of it. Another week passes and I called and they tell me that my car is ready but it is not fixed. I was told it was different repairs and I should not put anymore money into it this was not what I had asked them to do. But they will only charge me 50% of the labor I felt this was unfair I paid it under duress collected my keys and left.Business response

On July 28th, 2021, Mr. ******** brought his 2006 Dodge Durango in for his air conditioner not blowing cold air, and also his rear door lock not working. We diagnosed the air conditioning with a high side and low side ******* valves leaking. We replaced and recharged the air conditioner and put AC oil with dye into the system per customers permission. Vehicle left with air conditioner working. Found left rear door actuator was getting power to it, but the actuator was burned out. Replaced actuator with customers permission.
On June 13, 2022, Mr. ******** brought his 2006 Dodge Durango in for his air conditioner not blowing cold air, and same door lock not working. Customer was told if it is the same repair that we had done before, the parts are under warranty. Diagnosed the air conditioner and found that the compressor seal is leaking. Also found that the door lock actuator was getting no power. Found the main window switch is no longer working in the lock mode for that door. Parts are no longer available. We called the customer and informed him of this information and also told him that when the car was running for a long period of time, the car was overheating. We advised the customer that he has a possible head gasket issue and the repairs would out-value the cost of the vehicle. Since these are new issues, we cannot understand how this is our fault? We charged the customer for our time to diagnose these new issues/repairs.
We do not feel that we owe this customer a refund. These were all new issues.
Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
1) Sun Valley indicates in their reply vehicle left with air conditioning working. This is false I called 3 days after picking up the vehicle. I indicated the first day the ** seemed fine, however after the first day; the ** was not working, and the door lock was not working.
2) Sun Valley Automotive, by its own admission in their reply; indicated the same door lock they charged us for repair, was not working.
3) I spoke with ***** at SVA he indicated we were within the Warranty and to bring the vehicle in and they would work on it and get it fixed properly.
4) Approximately one week later, ***** from SVA called me and indicated other inspections were done without my knowledge or authorization, other repairs needed to be completed and ***** wanted to be paid for his labor costs. None of these additional inspections or labor were authorized or agreed upon by me at any time.
5) Warranty under ******** Law is an agreed upon contract between two parties signed at the beginning of the term of the contract. We were within the terms, dates and limits of the contract. We followed the terms of the contract, warranty and agreement; Sun Valley Automotive did not.
I believe I am owed a full refund for the reasons stated forth, none of the issues were fixed or repaired as agreed upon, under warranty contract.
Sincerely,
