I enrolled in the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design last Spring. I read up on it and thought it was a good and fair school. They acceptance rate is presumed to be 100 percent. It also states on their website that the classes are easier than we think. Last Fall, I was enrolled in their Freshman Drawing Portfolio for Illustrators class. The class is pass/fail. Now my former adviser told me I have nothing to worry about as long as the we do the work the way it should be done. When we do that, some of us still fail the review. I work my hardest on my portfolio review in order to pass the class. I put in all the effort yet the review committee who review the students portfolios determine whether or not the they pass or fail the course. I took the course twice because obviously I failed the review twice. Now on the class content web page. It stated that if your work is excellent you score a 4. If your work is good, you score a 3, if it is satisfactory, you score a 2. However, if you score a 1, your work is bad which means the student put in little or no effort. No matter how good your work is, if they find one or two nooks and crannies, they fail a student. They make out like illustration is that hard and challenging of a field. I believe the staff at ***** is making it hard and are causing students to drop out or transfer to another college. This whole thing is completely wrong and it is ridiculous.Review from M. D.

Not a single person is doing anything about the nonchalant faculty including the **** of students where it feels like there are pilots at the seats in a plane full of passengers, but no one is handling the controls. The passengers, being the students and the rare advisors and professors who are trying to keep their heads above water. This is a for-profit school, and those who are in charge are absolutely taking advantage of that fact.

RMCADs staff members continue to work with the student regarding her circumstances. While we do not agree with the reviewers overall characterization of the College, we certainly take her experiences seriously and work to ensure that all students have a satisfying academic experience that is in alignment with our policies and procedures.Customer Response

In response to RMCADs comment Not one faculty member has reached out to me, or take initiation on what you can do to better my education. So how can the school claim that you are working with me, as a student, I am going to be absolute forward and say this school is a disaster. I am a hardworking student up until recently, I want to make my point across that the schools performance is going south and this is exhibit A. How dare you say that you are supporting me and listening my needs.
