By posting this review, we hope to prevent others from having the extreme expense and time dealing with Colorado Custom Flooring.We were recommended to them by Total Floors as the best flooring installers. When it came to our installation, Colorado Custom hired out multiple subpar contractors to install our flooring and steps. One group had done just one other job with them despite Colorado Custom saying they were the best.Main problems:Upon carpet removal and wood step replacement/installation, our steps were out of code with multiple heights of each step and not level. We had to repurchase the wood, pay for a different vendor to rebuild the steps, and have a custom horizontal railing system re-fabricated to match the new in-code and level steps. Total: ~$19,000 (new wood, steps rebuilt, horizontal railing re-fabrication). (Several months delay)Flooring around heater vents miscut with gaps, had to replace with completely different floor vents. Had to wait for stain match of new wood floor vents (Several week delay).Ugly gaps in the transition between hallway wood flooring and bathroom vinyl. Had to fight to get the wood flooring replaced and a proper transition installed. Alignment of wood flooring planks between a stepup into the living room and front hallway didnt line up. ~Two inches off. Part of the living room installation had to be torn out and replaced to properly line up. Wood had to be re-ordered to cover this error. (Several weeks delay)We could not recommend Colorado Custom Carpet and warn anyone to stay away from them. *********************** at Total Floors was no help in sorting out this problem either. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said it wasnt their problem. Even though they recommended Colorado Custom. We believe there are better salespeople at Total Floors. He is not one of them.
