I identified Discount Auto Glass after a web search for low cost windshield replacement. They listed an address of ***********************. I phoned and told them what I needed, and they directed me to a satellite office at *******************************. My instructions were to leave the key in a drop box, which I did.Later in the day, I received a voicemail indicating that my new windshield was installed, and that my car was ready for pick up.Upon arrival, I found no one in the office, but my car (with new windshield) was parked in front. I called.*** told me that he was out on errands and that he would return in AN HOUR. But if I would read him my Debit Card info over the cell phone, he would tell me how to get access to my key. THAT's A HARD NO. I will not give out my debit card info over a cell phone.Business wanted me to trust them with my Debit Card info via cell phone, but they could not trust me to simply take my car and make payment arrangement later.*** showed up 45 minutes later, and I paid my $311 bill and left. And I won't be back.I'm writing here so that others can be warned about the sketchy customer service.The address shown here on BBB is a W. *********** address, but it has the same phone number as the business with which I had the misfortune of doing business today.Business response

We had an appointment set up with this customer to drop off his vehicle in the morning and pick it up later in the day once the windshield replacement was completed and payment has been given to us for our services that were provided. I have a receptionist that is in the office Monday-Friday, but she is currently 8 months pregnant and had this day off to go to the doctor. So, when I am usually alone and run into these kinds of situations I either ask them to wait until I get back into the office to pick up their vehicle or if they feel comfortable I have them give me a card over the phone and can have them grab their keys from the key drop box. I always provide receipts for every payment that is received from customers. I used to have an office on Alameda Ave but our lease ended, and we recently moved to the ******************* address. We are still working on getting the address updated on all major websites and have had better luck with some more than others. I understand with the world we live in now a day it's hard to trust and give out important information such as credit card numbers. The customer was aware I had other jobs I had to do after his vehicle was done. I called and left a voice message that his vehicle was completed he did not call me to schedule a pick up time he just showed up while I was out doing other jobs I had scheduled with my mobile services this day. If he would have called me back to let me know when he would like to pick up his vehicle, I would have made sure I was here to complete the sale in person, hand him his keys to his car and not having him waiting around until I was done with my other work I needed to get done.
