Back in late 2018 we used Severy Creek Roofing to replace our hail damaged roof. They completed the roof but also submitted other hail damage repairs or replacement of non-roof related items to our insurance company, including a new garage door. None of these items were actually repaired or replaced. He scammed us and our insurance company. Since completion of the work we've had leaking skylights which were supposedly fixed but we still have water coming in through one of them during heavy rains. There is also a very strong tar paper/asphalt smell coming into the house that has become worse over time. I contacted the owner, ***********************, six months ago about these problems. He initially made promises to have someone come look at it but nothing has happened. He doesn't respond to any of my emails anymore. Even though the work is still under warranty we have no choice but to hire another roofer and file a complaint with the BBB. If it's determined that the toxic smell in our home is coming from the roof they installed there will also be a lawsuit. Stay away from this rip off company.

VERY IMPORTANT!!! 9.17.22 This roof was completed in Dec 12, 2018.Passed inspection by governing body.So please note the truth.I have copies and contact at ***** governing body, ***** Roof does not leak!!!Truth, where do I send the documents.???

As the company who installed our roof why won't you help us determine why the shingles and/or weather barrier is releasing such a bad smell into our attic and home during hot weather? Is it because you've been paid in full and don't care? Obviously with your response this looks to be the case. Whatever happened to being a company who respects their customers by setting a date and time to come look at it? Instead you've chosen to deny and fight it. Trying to be logical, if this a roof shingle or weather barrier material manufacturing flaw why can't you at least get involved and help by calling in a manufacturer's rep to inspect the roof? We are not roofing experts and shouldn't be left hanging to deal with these issues on our own. With regard to the skylights, they have not been a major issue since you sent your crew out (twice) to fix them. It's a fact that one of the two you installed does still get some minor water intrusion during very heavy, driving rains or when there's a lot of melting snow on the roof. None of the above mentioned issues are our imagination. Either you're going to help us out or not. If not let us know and we will call in another roofing company. But be warned, if this happens you know what that means. Your choice.
