My lease started June 21. I started moving in Saturday, June 24, 2023 and spent my first night Sunday, June 25, 2023. The person above me was showing on Tuesday, June 27th and my toilet started to bubble. I called emergency maintnece. I said hey my toilet looks like it may overflow can you please come. They said ***** minutes they would be there. I called back about 20 minutes later. My toilet was flooding my house. Carpets and everything. Maintnece got there. They vacuumed up the water and called a plumber and extractor. My house was disgusting and Ive had to use a different buildings unit bathroom since. I had water in the kitchen. They said its impossible for mold to grow and wont test for mold. The manager hasnt called me and I called corporate. They havent called me back either. I would like to move my unit since the home smelled like sewage, the bathroom and floors are disgusting from trying to unclog the issue and the floor is coming up or for them to test for mold, fix the washer, clean up the gross toilet brown parts on the toilet and floor and fix the floor coming up and give me rent credits for the days I havent had a bathroom. I cant get a response or the manager to call me or corporate to call me. I would like someone to call me and work on a resolution.Business response

I am very happy to hear how quickly my maintenance team responded to the emergency call. I understand and sympathize with the inconvenience caused by the water intrusion. Our maintenance team responded right away to mitigate the situation, as well as provided a key to a vacant unit, so that you would have access to running water, shower, bathroom and kitchen. This is something that we have been known to offer in the event something like this happens so that you accessibility to the essentials. Along with their quick efforts, they called out the proper vendors to help get everything taken care of as quickly as possible. The vendors were true professionals as they dried everything out, provided antimicrobials, replaced padding and came back to do a moisture test to ensure that everything was safe within the unit. I again feel that the proper steps were taken to ensure things were done right, for both safety as well as health. I do apologies for the delay in response directly from me, currently our clubhouse is being renovated and has proposed some challenges as things are getting underway. At the time of the event I was not working in the office, but rather offsite. I would like to reassure you that all communication was coming into me and I was a part of the decisions being made on the property level. The wonderful conclusion with this incident is that everything is safe, and we have come to an understanding of everything that your unit is still the place you would like to call home. We are glad our continued partnership through this has prevailed.

I have been trying to reach Monte Vista Apartments regarding the status of my deposit. I moved out on July 17, 2022. This week is going on week 6. I just wanted to know if Ill be receiving it soon. No one ever answers my calls. I call all day long. And no one answered my email.Business response

The previous resident had moved out second week of July. She was supposed to have received a refund after move out. It looks like the request for process was completed last month, and paid out. The resident did call the office to inquire about the refund, at that time we looked into it and determined nothing had been completed yet. At that point is when we processed the request, and since the request the check for refund has been made and cut to her. Everything should be resolved at this time.
