The design for a landscaping project at our home (**********************************************************) is shown on pages 1 and 2 of the attachment. In July 2023 I accepted a bid for the project from Interior and Exterior Solutions (I&E), an insured/bonded **************** (contact *************************, ************). Two contracts which included work description, costs and timing were executed by us and I&E via signature. Down payments were paid to I&E for both. A third payment was made in August 2023. As shown in the attachment, we made payments of $4,375, $6,812, and $5,593 to I&E totaling $16,780. Remaining balance of $5,594. The work includes demolition/removal of existing brick patio and stone-wall gardens and replacement of these with upgraded materials and addition of other stone walls. The job was to begin in July 2023, with 28 work days quoted. I provided a very detailed project description complete with all dimensions, specification of materials, source where materials could be obtained, detailed diagrams, etc. These plans were also sent to our HOA. I&E failed to begin work on time with various excuses issued by **************** as to why. ****** did bring subcontractors to review the project, but delays continued. Many starting dates were promised by ****** but these all came and went without any notice of cancellation. A crew came on Sep 6, 2023 and performed 1 day of demolition work. ****** cited a bout of COVID and a family issue as reasons for some of the delay. These came long after the project was originally to be completed. We were sympathetic but had the clear understanding with I&E that work would still commence. ****** continues to promise work on specific dates but never shows up or informs us. I have left many phone messages, texts, and emails (documented). ****** replies to some of these but never acts. Now, 9 months after work should have been done, the demolished areas of the project area have degraded (attachment), and there is no plan by ****** to start the work.
