On the date of October 14th 2021 I had hired Custom Fence and supply to come and instal a fence on my property line. I had just moved in that day of the 14th of October. My wife and I signed and closed on the home October 13th 2021. Custom Fence and Supply had their crew come out to start work that morning of the 14th. Typically from dealing with these companies in the past they will survey the area or have a survey done of the underground wiring and pipes. Since it was a new build the crew lead said they didnt need to since they should know from the faint markings already from the exisitng survey done at some point months before. Needeless to say this was inaccurate. As I was moving furniture into my home, all of sudden all power cut out. Without knowing exactly what happened I walked out to the power box to see if somehow I tripped a breaker. Everything was on and no breakers were tripped. At this point the fencing crew was acting very strange in the fact they stopped work and all started walking to their cars. As I was trying to still figured out what happened I finally got a hold of the team lead before he left. He said they cut the main power line to the home and would not be able to continue until **** came and fixed it. As I went inside to grab my phone the whole crew has taken off at this point with me not knowing if they called or what the next steps were. After a few hours of trying to call the boss, he never picked up, even after leavig voicemailes stating my reason. I got a hold of the crew lead on site and he said they did call **** and they would be out to fix it. 3 hours later still nothing so I called **** in which they finally had a temp line installed. The company never called ****. That night the home got down to 38 degrees with no lights or hot water. Since then I have been trying to work with the boss on resovling this. I still have a temp line and multiple email thread threats from the boss stating they put a lien on my home and will not pay.Business response

Custom Fence & Supply was contracted with Mr. ****** ****** to install fence on his property. On October 14, 2021 when digging unfortunately, our crew did hit an electrical line and called in to notify our production scheduler who then contacted ***** ******. ***** ****** came out and installed a temporary line fix. At this point ***** ******, no longer communicates with us. Normally, ***** ****** repairs the line right away and we receive an invoice, sometimes 6 months later. Which was not done in this case. On February 1, 2022 E**** ****** sent us a letter stating that they completed an engineering design and cost estimate showing an amount needed to be paid. The letter stated once approved and paid they would schedule the repair.
Custom Fence had returned to the property on October 21, 2021 and completed the fence per contract. Custom Fence tried several times to collect the remaining balance of $2,806.47 from Mr. ****** who refused to pay. Custom Fence’s only option to secure payment is to file a mechanics lien against the property. This was never filed and was only discussed with Mr. ******. After receiving the letter this February, we have spoken with ***** ******, paid the amount stated and asked them to communicate the repair schedule with the Mr. ******. ***** ****** did communicate with Mr. ****** and he has now paid his remaining balance with us in full.
