I've bought parts here for years since I'm a mechanic myself, but I have a Dodge Ram diesel truck that needed repair I wasn't able to do because I had a back injury. I called them multiple times and got a different "service manager" each time but I clearly explained that the intake manifold had been partly removed, that there was undoubtedly dirt, dust and debris in the cylinders and needed the cylinder head removed for cleaning. The reason all this was necessary was the intake manifold had been open for several years. I clearly informed them of this condition and the three different "service advisors' said 'Sure, bring it in'. I did, at a towing cost of $195. Once there they said they didn't do that kind of work and that the engine was probably junk, etc. I knew this to be a lie because I've personally remanufactured engines for nearly 40 years and I know that's not the case. Most engines can be repaired, or worst case, replaced and one does not "junk" a vehicle that would currently cost $70-90K to replace. I've contacted a certified Dodge diesel mechanic who will now be working on the job and he agreed the engine is not junk. So I asked Mountain Truck to refund my tow charges since they misled me into believing they could and would do the necessary repairs. The boss service manager and the owner refused. They lied to my face about my having told them all the things that I explicitly told them multiple times before having it towed. This is a WARNING from a 40+ year mechanic: ANY shop that lies to you is never trustworthy. Stay away. I'm taking them to small claims for the tow charges just because I hate liars. Also remember: this is my opinion, but my opinion is based on fact and years of engine building experience.

Hi this is ******************* here at Mountain Truck and Equipment Company president and owner. ***************************** can say what he wants, but there is more to this story than what is stated in his comments. Yes, in fact he did call here and talk to our service writer. Yes, he told ******* to bring the truck in so we could look at it.  He did tell us the engine had been opened up for several years. What he didn't tell us, was how bad it really was. The complete engine compartment was covered with not only dirt and debris, but the complete engine was covered with rodent and mouse droppings.  The complete intake manifold was almost full of rodent and mouse droppings. The crankcase was open where the fuel pump is mounted and was full of dirt and debris. The fuel lines were ***** and opened to the elements. Also many of the chassis wiring harnesses were bare and eaten and chewed up from rodents. It was disgusting. We did ask one of our 40 plus years mechanics to look at it he just said, no way, that there will not be way more issues going forward with this. Issues will never end to make this truck operable again, it goes way beyond the engine issues. It's always been our practice to never put more in a vehicle than what it would be worth when finished. This was a no brainer in that regards. Problems with this truck went way beyond just the repair of the engine and no one should have to work on an engine that someone let that all happen to. Our people had no idea it could ever be that bad. I have many photo's that I would post on this review comment section if I could. ******* could have taken photos and sent them to us like many others do before he spent the money to tow it here that was his choice. He could have saved a tow charge.
