Gustavo demanded almost all the money up front before ordering the blinds. 6 months later we have 4 blinds installed with one of them 6 inches too short which we are still waiting on the replacement. We were also still waiting on 5 roman shade blinds which we were constantly told would be finished "in a week or two" with something coming up to delay the installation each time. The last appointment we made the installer did not show up and we never heard why so we ran out of patience and demanded a refund. Still have not received the refund so it’s looking like we will have to go to small claims court. After this experience we went with 3 Day Blinds and got better motorized Roman Shades installed in 4 weeks at about the same cost which all fit correctly. The only thing that I am happy about is that we used the blinds as a trial run before getting to our closets or having Colorado Installers paint our kitchen cabinets. Would not recommend Colorado Installers to my worst enemy.

Gustavo, the business owner is a shark. He provided estimates a timelines that are never met. After completing a backsplash and painting installing on cabinet pulls, I have been waiting months for the replacement and repair of subpar work. On multiple occasions he has made appointments to replace and/or repair the work and has been a no show. This has gone on for months. Do not hire this man!!!!

I hired Colorado Installer in to put in a kitchenette in my basement and gave them a deposit on 12/23/2022. This was a project that should have been completed within a month (once the cabinets arrived). Instead, it has dragged on for over 4 months. When I had not heard from them by the end of January, I reached out to ask when they would be starting. They did some work shortly after that (framing, drywall, cabinet installation) but then just stopped. They did install countertop after I pestered them but the cabinets are damaged and there is still a lot of unfinished work (plumbing, electrical, appliance installation). Every time I contact them, they assure me things are scheduled, they even give me dates and time but no one ever shows up.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We spoke with the customer and she knows we are only waiting for items that were claimed due to manufacturer defects. He hope to finish installation very soon.

      Complaint: 20008604

I am rejecting this response because: I have been told by Colorado Installer on numerous occasions (more than at least 5 times over at least 3 months) that cabinet materials have been ordered, yet they never seem to arrive. I have also had to hire a plumber to complete the plumbing installation because Colorado Installer sent their "project manager" to install plumbing with incorrect materials.

The cabinet layout was poorly designed by Colorado Installer which has caused numerous complications with installation and unreasonable delays. The quality of the cabinets is also not what I had hoped and certainly not worth the price listed in the proposal. The cabinets were delivered in the back of a pickup, unprotected (no boxes or wrapping), on a rainy/drizzly day. They are scratched and dented. There is remaining custom work required to complete the refrigerator enclosure and I don't have confidence in how that will turn out.

I will consider withdrawing my complaint once the cabinets are fully installed and look as promised. There also needs to be some renegotiation of the price for the cabinets.

Materials are being deliver today by manufacturer and we'll call you after we inspect products to make sure everything is perfect so we can finish, and after we are done, then, we can talk about balance on invoice. Thank you again for contacting BBB instead of talking to us first.

      Complaint: 20008604

I am rejecting this response because: In their last response, Colorado Installer stated materials were expected that day and they would be contacting me to proceed. As expected, I have not heard from them. This is yet another instance and example of what I have been dealing with for the the last 6 months; they do not follow through on their assurances/promises.

As I stated in my last response, I will consider withdrawing my complaint when the project is completed and looks as promised.

Customer complaint about the time this project is taking and so far none of my employees wants to go back to that house because of her, she has any kind of  ****** problem and does not allowed my employees to work or there is always something with her having to leave and interrupting the project, by now i think this is just a strategy to delay the project and we end getting threats about complaining with BBB. If she does not let us finish our project we'll send invoice with balance and from there to collections and from there to court. We have 9 people that went to that house with the same testimony about her not letting them to work.

      Thank you

      Complaint: 20008604

I am rejecting this response because:

This is an unreasonable response from the business. The project has not stretched out for 7 months because I do not allow them to work. Quite the opposite, I have had to reach out to the business several times to ask when work would resume. I have a record of emails and text messages to prove this. On several occasions I have been given a date and time for work to be done but no one shows up. I also have text message records to prove this. The last occurrence was last week. The business asked when they could set a time to complete. I thought we agreed on this last Monday (6/26/2023) but no one showed up. Again, I have a text message record of the conversation.

I can only recall 3 occasions (over 7 months) when I turned away one of the businesses' employee or contractor:

      1) The person was 2 hours late for the appointment. I had given up and left the house to run an errand. I know the person showed up because my Ring camera notified me. I called them to let them know I was not home and we would need to reschedule.

      2) That same person showed up to install a sink with incorrect materials. I know this because it was a non-standard sink and I was concerned so I contacted the business about it and was assured they would reach out to the manufacturer. I also reached out to the manufacturer who provided a link to the correct materials. Again, I have a text message record to back this up.

      3) Most recently I turned away a sub-contractor because he had previously cancelled (due to rain) and rescheduled on me. Even though we did not set a definitive time for him to start on the re-scheduled day, he showed up late in the day. I had some personal business to take care of later that day and it was about to rain so it didn't seem to make sense for him to proceed.

If the business has a different recollection of me sending anyone away I would be interested in the specifics so I can have a chance to address them. With respect to the businesses' comment that their people do not want to work with me... I was told by one of their employees that the person from items 1 & 2 above quit out of frustration with the business (not me).

      Regards,
