On November 7, 2022 I contracted Meeker Sand and Gravel to deliver 12 yards of 6 ½ sack concrete at a 6 slump to my address at **** ****** **** ** ** *****, Colorado. Unfortunately, I was charged a hot water fee of $220 even though it was above freezing outside and the concrete didn’t appear to have hot water in it . I was shorted at least 1 yard as we were a half yard short and we had over calculated by a quarter yard and added an extra quarter yard to the order. Taking The owners advice to re-measure our pad we found that we calculated a 4 foot by 5 foot by 5 ½ inch section twice which would put us over another .34 yards. This should have put us at at least .84 yards over the needed amount. Instead we were shorted a half yard to finish our project. Also, I ordered 6 slump but according to the delivery sheet they delivered 4 slump.So without a batch sheet I have no idea what they actually delivered to me. They are in refusal to give me a batch sheet. As stated by the owner they have the state of the art batch plant but after requesting for a batch sheet that was never provided with the invoices and after asking three times has still not been provided. Also, on September 29, 2022 when I talked to I believe Kim to get a quote on concrete she asked my location and I asked at that time if there was a delivery fee for the concrete and i was told No there was not a delivery fee. On the morning of November 7, 2022 the day of my concrete delivery is when I was informed of a fuel surcharge for delivering the concrete. At that point when I questioned the fee they told me we can scratch you off the list and not deliver to you. Knowing good and well I had a crew here waiting and that cold weather was coming. I then had no choice but to have them deliver it. Then upon finding how short we were I had to go purchase numerous bags of concrete at an additional cost to me of $220 to finish the project that we were in the middle of. Then to add insult to injury one of the drivers wrote down the wrong time when he started unloading so they were trying to tack on additional charge for service. Fortunately I have a camera system on my house that records time so after reviewing their records that charge was conveniently dropped when they discovered the driver wrote down the wrong time. I tried to resolve this issue by phone to no avail.Business response
