October 25, 2021 roof replacement began by * ** * ******* as hired by Colorado Roofing Consultants. Agreement is attached. Guaranteed 2 years on workmanship against leaking and damage. Less than 1 yr later roof was leaking in several locations because roofer removed old flashing and did not add any new flashing. Colorado Roofing Consultants could not get ahold of * ** * ******* so CRC added a piece of flashing about 3" away from the top of swamp cooler and added silicone sealant around the flashing. Roof was still leaking into bedroom through electrical line from lights. I personally went into attic and filmed and photoed leaking roof. Owner of Colorado Roofing Consultants came and accused me of taking fake photos of a different house although he refused to enter into the attic. I felt threatened and scared by his behavior. He stated he would come the next weekend to flood the roof and find the leak. He has never shown up since. At this point I have contacted a lawyer. I also have had the repair done to the less than one year old roof. The repairs required step flashing around the swamp cooler, pipe jacks to the water line and electrical lines and a small area of shingles needed replacement. I would like a partial refund for the repairs that were done to stop the roof from leaking. I do not expect to ever receive the money.

Bought a house that the inspection showed had water damage from old roof. Contracted with Bob J****** of Colorado Roofing Consultants to tear off and replace the roof. Job was to begin June 29 but the crew did not start the work until July 1. Roof failed the first inspection, no shingles were laid for the inspector to see the nailing patterns. I spoke with Tyler, the subcontractor, he said he did not know this was the city/county code requirements. This was the first issue that started what I believe to be a continuation of poor and faulty roofing practices. They put underlayment and shingles over the vent for the gas dryer that vented thru the attic to the roof. I was the one that discovered this huge deadly mistake. They had to tear back shingles and add the vent. When I hired a independent chimney company to clean out the dryer vent of any lint they discovered the roofers had stuffed a water bottle down the pipe. Another deadly situation. The roofers also did not put a termination collar on the exit pipe so I paid to have this fixed. The same chimney company discovered the roofers left combustible underlayment in the pellet stove chimney. The list is long of inadequacies. Exposed nail heads, flashing installed improperly, nails thru the drip edge, poorly installed ridge cap, valleys and shingles laid crooked debris and nails everywhere, gutters bent, gutters left full of nails and shingle debris, nails all over yard, left old roof felt and smelled beer and pot coming from Tyler’s truck. They broke my yard gate too. Several times I complained to Bob J******. They finished July 7th, Bob came out the next day to address my complaints. He said they would do some redo and it was not his typical roof install. I texted him July 13 to get in writing exactly everything they would do. I never received this so on July 15 I sent a letter to Bob saying I did not accept, was rejecting this roof, wanted it redone completely by a experienced roofer. He refused.
