I reached out at the start of the year to inquire about their summer camps and the age requirements as my children are not quite 5 which is the minimum age in their class. I got a pretty fast response, welcoming me to enroll my children in their summer camps. I did go ahead and register for two summer camps, one in June and one in July. I also sent their contact to a few friends so that they could enroll their children as well. After a change in our plans, I consulted their FAQ's on the website for their cancellation policy. I emailed them and requested that they withdraw my kids. I got no response. I called them today to follow up. I was told that the policy is different than what is on the website and that I clicked on a box with a different policy when enrolling them. The person I spoke with refused to acknowledge that their own website has a different cancellation policy documented and claimed this was from COVID. I challenged this and asked how they could refuse to honor a cancellation policy that is inconsistent with what is on their website. It seems to be a poor business practice, misleading, and if it is published then they need to honor it. They are refusing to honor it claiming that I checked a box with a different policy and it doesn't matter if what is published and advertised on their website says something entirely different.

To enroll in our camps, ************************* had to click an agreement which states that camp fees are nonrefundable and a full credit minus $50 processing fee will be issued. A parent cannot submit registration without agreeing to the terms. **** used to be a practicing psychologist, so her clients had to sign plenty of paperwork to be seen by her. Our agreement was a small paragraph, and it is stated on the receipt she received as well.

A quick ****** search will reveal that **** makes an agreement then blackmails the business owner with a negative review if a refund isn't issued. It also shows negative reviews of her as a psychologist. This sheds a little light on the type of communication we've received from her. We were going to try and work with her, but due to the nature of her threatening correspondence, we are standing firm to the policy.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
