      I placed an online order for a $25 toekick and $14.95 shipping. I first checked with a side email on inventory and they confirmed in stock. After I placed my order, I got an order confirmation # on screen but no confirmation email. (red flag #1). My charge account was immediately charged. (very unusual these days for companies to do that.) I followed up on the order status in a couple of days later and they came back with shipping was going to be $112.95 blaming carrier oversize charges. (1) Sorry, if you are doing e-commerce, your website needs to know about oversize charges!! (2) Big box store shipped me a $15 8' toekick for $0 shipping (unfortunately wrong size). Anyhow, KCD offered to cut the piece in half and honor the $14.95 shippping price. For an 8' length that would be 48"/48". The longest piece I needed was 56" so I asked if they would cut 56/40 for the original shipping price. They were checking with shipping on costs and to see if there would be a cutting fee (!!!) and never got back to me. Simultaneously they were trying to locate the remaining inventory saying it might be out of stock. Eventually, they said it was out of stock. I had to request a refund, which they did issue immediately. I would not order from them again.

      When we were contacted regarding stock on this item our system showed one in stock but by the time the order was processed, it had been pulled to fulfill another order. We became aware of this when we requested the custom cut on the molding. Our ready to assemble cabinets are imported and in high demand and unfortunately, manufacturing and lead time have been affected by ongoing supply chain issues which are now starting to improve. We charge orders when they are placed, this is the standard in the industry and this practice is the same for all Ready to Assemble Cabinet retailers online.We are a family-owned and operated company and we do all we can to please all of our customers. Were sorry we couldnt provide at least a satisfactory resolution by providing an immediate refund for the entire order upon request.

      Response to business response: Your response doesn't fly. You said your inventory still showed in stock after my order was processed during the back and forth about cutting. . Inventory issues aside, the $112.95 shipping charge looks like bait and switch to me which was what prompted my review.
