We selected Renovations for a Retaining Wall project 10/27/2022. **** their Project manager came out with another employee on 11/01/2022. I showed them my plans and answered their questions. They said they were starting the project immediately. They collected an $11k check from us (50% of project cost per contract), and then immediately left. Nobody has been out since and not 1 shovel of dirt has been dug. Since then I have received approximately 15 texts from **** (I have copies) with various statements of we are getting equipment, we will be there tomorrow, we will be there Monday, our truck broke, our workers went to ****** for the holidays, I will call you with status (never happened), etc, etc. None of which ever happened. I made it clear to **** that I was not happy and wanted to talk to the owner *** (we tried calling the business phone and leaving messages several times). Never received any call back. **** would text saying he is sorry but still working on things. Said he would come out the week of 12/12/2022 to discuss. Never happened. No call or anything. On 12/15/2022, the wife and I decided that we needed to take action, so I texted **** and told him we were done, that we felt they (Renovations) was in breach of contract and that we wanted our $11k back ASAP. ****'s response was that he was just a Project Manager and really could not do anything about their issues with the project. He further stated that while he did bring ****** out to our property to do the work, it was identified that they could not perform the required work (then why did they accept contract and take our money, seems like fraud to me). He said his hands were tied, and gave me ***'s (the owners) cell number. *** has never called me back after several messages left and asks that **** have him call. After Christmas I will be contacting a Lawyer. This is exactly what Landscaping contractor nightmares are made of... BEWARE OF RENOVATIONS LANDSCAPING.Initial Complaint

We had this company perform landscaping work, to include installing some trees. Shortly after the trees were installed, a number of them started showing signs of distress. We immediately notified this company of the issues. We also had a tree specialist out to look at some unrelated trees and he looked at the trees and said they were not planted properly, the roots were dry, the canvas was not removed, which likely caused the distress. The trees eventually died. This company has been stringing us along, saying they are putting us on the warranty schedule, but then never do. Now, they will not return my phone calls or emails. I've updated our review on their website and still have not gotten a response. Our initial bad review got them to act, and they urged us to change the review, which we agreed to do once the problems were resolved.Initial Complaint

I want to file a complaint against Landscaping *************** due to non-payment, the owner *************************** refuses you to do backlog jobs and doesn't pay you, I know of 4 other subcontractors who also owe them moneyInitial Complaint

Feb 2022 - June 2022 $120,000 project included full backyard landscape design, removing a huge water feature in the middle of the yard, designing a new water feature using some of the materials from the old one, grading the entire backyard as prep for putting in a pool (pool done by different contractor), pouring a large stamped concrete pool deck, addition of outdoor kitchen to existing patio, landscape lighting, installation of 50+ plants/trees/bushes, sod and *******************. There are a lot of issues to cover but I'll mostly cover the big ones. Renovations owes us payment for the major issues with their workmanship. One of the most expensive issues is with regards to the water feature. Not only did they not install the pond per the discussed design, the water feature is installed with the wrong materials (vinyl barrier is the wrong type and it's already cracking) and they used caulk and expansive foam to attach the eco crates to the vinyl barrier. Which also means we cannot remove the pumps during winter shutdown.Pool deck...2 issues. 1) The ruined the pre-done pool coping when they colored the pool deck. 2) They didn't properly grade it so water does not drain from it. When it rains, 2-3 inches of water pools in sections of the pool deck. The only way to remedy the drainage issue is to breakup the pool deck, grade, and re-lay the concrete.Overall concrete work is terrible (already cracking & built in step lighting boxes are uneven/crooked), the masonry work in the outdoor kitchen is cracking, huge depressions (tripping hazard) left in an otherwise flat grass lawn when they tried to fix drainage, overall drainage issues, landscape lighting is awful, trees/bushes/plants are dead (supposed to have a 1 year warranty but I doubt we'll get them to honor that), sprinkler zone coverage was bad, grading of berms so steep that rocks and mulch won't stay on them, landscape edging is crooked, drains daylight towards the house's foundation...the list goes on & onInitial Complaint

I signed a contract with this company in October of 2022 to do the backyard landscaping on my new home. Since November of 2022 I have received zero contact from the company. We provided them with a $2000 down payment. The last contact I had was 12/9 via text and 11/29 via email. I have emailed the company email as well as the gentlemen that quoted us and provided the contract. ************************* ************************************** ************ They have my deposit and we have had zero communication and no work has been performed. I did notice on their ******** page that another customer has had the same thing happen at about the same time.Initial Complaint

Contract was signed 10/27/2022 working with ***************** (owner Renovations Landscape) for retaining wall, ground work, and sod, totaling $21,941.32.11/01/2022: **** (Project Manager) and ****** (Team worker) showed up and I stepped them through the project showing them my plans and answering their questions. They stated they were starting the project immediately. Per the contract 50% of the total fee is required upon project start. My wife gave **** a check for $11,000, at which point both he and ****** immediately left. Check was cashed by Renovations Landscaping the very next day 11/02/2022.Since then, nobody from Renovations LS has been to our house. Not one shovel of dirt has been dug. I had Renovations complete my landscaping in Feb 2022. They laid turf that I was told needed to be stretched once the weather got warm enough. I spent all Spring, Summer, and Fall 2022 trying to get them to come out and correct the turf as they stated needed to be done upon the walk through of completion. They keep giving me excuses as to why they havent been able to make it out or they dont respond at all. They have refused to refund me reasonable cost to have this completed by another company.
