      1. French doors for the office were not the selected style. *** promised replacement. There has been no communication as to the arrival of the replacement. We request compensation of $1000 if this is not corrected. I was not provided a detailed receipt so value is only an estimate.2. Sliding glass patio door was installed with blemishes and no locking mechanism for one side. *** indicated warranty work was requested. We have no documentation about the manufacturer to follow up on the warranty service.3. Extra side panels were ordered for kitchen cabinets for failure to identify a wall in the diagram provided to the cabinet company. Estimated cost we are seeking repayment on is $500 as I dont have a receipt with broken out expenses. Also, the layout was incorrect so I cannot push my refrigerator in all the way AND open the door. The cabinet company is completing the repair work on damaged cabinets.4. We were charged $500 for 2 garage outlets that were never installed. We request compensation.5. Stone for fireplace was grossly over ordered. There was enough to complete another fireplace. We are requesting $1000 as compensation.Overall, Advantage Construction hired cheap labor and did not provide the level of service they promoted. We were told more than once we wouldnt notice it after a while. Theres overspray on doors, lack of paint on trim, no paint on exterior drain pipes, etc. We did agree to complete ***************** but feel this example highlights the poor project management of *** and his team.We request a refund of the specified items and documentation so that we can follow up on warranty work. If *** has our French doors, I would like them installed in lieu of payment.

      1. In Regards to the French doors in the study the interior trim company supplied the doors in Rain glass per a conversation at the pre order  walk through in Late September 22. This is what I recollect as well. If at that meeting there was talk of a High End Custom Seeded Glass Door there would have been many steps but since it was a stock door the conversation was sufficient. When the doors were installed in November 22 the client expressed the doors were incorrect and she wanted Seeded glass which is a high ticket special order item. The door frame was installed so that the client could purchase just the slabs of what she wanted. The trim Company only supplies a lump sum quote for the whole job. There is no line item pricing. I did say I would try to find an option for the client but did not offer to pay for this as this was a change of mind by the client.

      2. Back Sliding door was installed with minor paint blemishes and secondary lock had no clear direction on how to install. The door installer contacted supplier ************ and it was understood that the door manufacturer would send someone out. I have since emailed the client the warranty work order.

      3. A picture was sent prior to cabinet design that shows the wall that the complaint is referring to. The cabinet doors had finish issues at the joints from the supplier. There may have been a couple areas where a s**** cracked the wood that was not visible and did not effect the strength. I offered to clean the overspray but was denied that opportunity.

      4. The garage outlets were $400 on invoice dated 8/18/22 they were not installed in the garage due to installing them would cause too much damage.

      5. The Stone on the fireplace was special order and shipped from the east coast with a high shipping cost. Extra was ordered in fear of not having enough.  In the original plan the stone was to extend to the ceiling. When the custom design was complete it was not logical to do so due to difficulty drilling stone to mount TV and on the ends there would be raw edges showing. Also the client had there own installer install the stone and they did not use the corners that were supplied.

The Client moved into the house mid construction and that caused several issues that costed my company in 1 instance $6300 that I absorbed. I supplied my Painter with a 2 step stain system for the custom stair railing and when I showed up the next morning he was using an all in one that the homeowner directed him to use. It did not come out right as I knew it wouldn't and I had to replace the whole thing. The client asked me prior to this if I trusted my painter to stain the stair railing and I said that I did as long as he used the 2 step system.

I was directed to send my painters away and the home owners would finish.

This remodel project was a Whole House Remodel including Exterior siding repair, whole house paint and roofing repair. The whole interior was remodeled. Not 1 room was untouched. The Kitchen was completely gutted and redesigned with out design fees. The bathroom was completely redesigned with heated tile floor again no design fees, free standing tub and heavy shower glass was installed. The whole interior was painted and back master bed door eliminated as well as the back sliding door engineered to except a huge back patio sliding door. Recessed cans through out, many Ceiling fans installed outlets added on ceiling of back deck. Walls removed to open up stair well. Custom open stairwell. All flooring, doors and trim was removed and replaced. Granite and Quartz counter tops. I really do take these complaints serious and am saddened that a few bad things at the end of the project made for a bad experience. I do use minority sub contractors that are very good at what they do but trying to live in the middle of a Whole House remodel will always expose weaknesses in the construction process. I personally had my tools on and put in many hours. There were numerous Supply Chain Issues during this remodel. I was constantly having to change direction and regroup. My project manager also quit on me mid project so this was a huge challenge. I would not like to work on this job at this point due to the stance from the client. I do NOT feel I owe this client any money.
