In January of 2015 a contract was established with Waste Management to pick up garbage at address below. March 1st was the last day trash was collected. Contract is paid through April 30th. Repeat attempts to contract Waste Connection about this problem have gone unanswered. As of today it has been 3 weeks since trash was last picked up. This is a breech of contract and I want a refund so I can find a trash collection company that will actually collect the trash from my home.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Internet company was not in the alley at all blocking. Sewer utility replaced sewer line and opened alley before March 8th. Company refused to pick up after March 8th, failed to answer all calls, return multiple messages and respond to multiple online submissions and email. Lack of communication and honesty is unacceptable!

We spoke to the customer on 3/26/2024 and confirmed the cancellation of the account and the removal of our equipment. Our customer service representation also explained that a refund will be issued. During the phone call the customer was agreeable to the cancellation and the refund.

I am rejecting this response because:
We would have never had to do this if they answered one of the many messages sent through multiple means of communication over a 3 week period. Waste Connections also was dishonest about the alley way being blocked through the month of May.

Waste Connections of Colorado *** is charging fees they claim are in the contract but are not in the contract. They are stating that I was supposed to call after my contract ended to have a dumpster picked up or other fees would apply. The contract does not state any of this. It states I rented it for 10 net days, which I paid for in advance. They have now said they will not remove the dumpster until the extra fees are paid and that the fees will continue to accrue daily. They also threatened to put a lien on my house if I did not pay the extra fees.Business response

Hello, our roll off services include several different charges including an inactivity fee that is charged on a per day basis if the roll off is not returned within 14 days. The explanation of the inactivity fee is standard verbiage explained to every customer requesting roll off services. A review of the recorded phone call between our customer service representative and this customer at the time of the order, revealed that the fee was explained to the customer several times. During the call the customer is heard explaining the inactivity fee to her husband. The recorded call confirms that the customer clearly understood the fee.
Although the inactivity fee was undoubtedly understood by the customer, we have issued a refund for $220.00 which is the amount paid by the customer for the inactivity fees due. The refund was issued as a courtesy.

My trash was not picked for 2 weeks in a row a while back. I called to report this and the lady on the phone said it was because I had a black not blue container. I had used the black one for quite a while and it says Waste Connections on both sides. I was brought a disgusting , filthy , broken container as a replacement. I tried to have the black container picked up by calling again and the lady I talked to said that all containers are blue and the black one does not belong to Waste connections. I have been a customer for many years. I want the black container picked up asap and a decent blue one brought to my address. The black one is inside the fence by my drive way.Business response

Hello, we sincerely apologize that the exchanged container was not clean and in good condition. We will exchange the container tomorrow May 18th, 2023. Our containers have always been blue, however we will remove **************** black container tomorrow at the same time we exchange the old one. We appreciate **************** business and again apologize for the inconvenience.

Waste Connection charges me around $62 for a 3 month span of trash pickup. The company picked up my trash on January 19th, 2021. I had some holiday trash that needed to go out. They picked it up and are trying to charge me $79 for the trash listed in the picture. After speaking with a representative on the phone, $25 of it is the box spring, and I'm okay with that but $54 for the trash? After inquiring on how they got this number, she told that it's by yard. By her definition, a yard is about 2 of my trash cans (see picture for reference). And if the boxes had been broken down, it would have been cheaper, according to her. They are trying to charge me over 3 months of service for the trash in this picture. Basically for some boxes. They pickup SO MUCH MORE throughout those 3 months so I am astounded that they think this is appropriate.Business response
