Cut Rate was hired for a repeat sewer clean out. They had cleared it before and were supposed to come out to investigate some plumbing issues for a permanent solution. When they came out on 7/21/22, they broke a toilet. The rep that broke the toilet took responsibility and said he was supposed to have me sign a waiver beforehand, but he didn't, so they were responsible. He told me to bill him for the toilet replacement and to call a real plumber. I reached out when the work was completed and the owner, ****, is refusing responsibility. He hung up on me to told me to, "do what I gotta do." Not sure what else I can possibly due. I spent hundreds of dollars using Cut Rate over the last few years and have never had a problem. The rep that was here is currently on our local most wanted list. If they aren't going to reimburse for the broken toilet, they could at least refund the $335 I paid for them to break my toilet and not resolve the issue.

We have been to this service address a few times, advised him that the plumbing was non directional, and there is no proper access to clean this line. He was scheduled to have the line scoped to see what exactly was wrong and cancelled the scope the day of. He called back for this service again, knowing that he did not get the problem fixed, and had us try to run the line from the roof again. When running a line from a roof stack, the line should go out, and not into the building causing a toilet to break, which he was told almost a year ago. We offered to replace the toilet, but he called a plumbing company who charged 7x the amount to replace the toilet and did not even fix the initial issue with his plumbing. The charge was a valid charge because he knows his plumbing has issues.

I am rejecting this response because: I didn't cancel any appointments with Cut Rate. They never followed like they said they would. The plumbing company has not found any issues and was able to resolve our clogged drain without any issues. I have requested the video from the plumbing company that Cut Rate has requested to prove they sent a camera down the line. I didn't call Cut Rate to replace my toilet because they said they are not plumbers and couldn't do the work. I was given no other option but to contact another local company to replace the toilet that Cut Rate damaged.

When I contacted Cut Rate to come snake the line again, I did remind them that they had been here before and had issues. The proceeded to snake the line and break the toilet and were aware of the history of the plumbing.

      Sincerely,

In June 2021, I was told that I had bills for several hundred dollars from CutRate Sewer and Drain. The company had done a major job for me a year earlier and had been paid in full by me at completion. I was mystified as to why they would suddenly start billing me for something a year after the work was done. I instructed my property manager to contact the company to find out more about the bills, as I was concerned that the tenant on the property, who was by then in arrears, and is now being evicted, might have incurred charges without authorisation. When my manager was able to contact their accountant, she replied that she didn't know what the bills were for. When I visited the outfit in person (I was outside of Pueblo for several months at that time) the accountant was not in the office. I left my phone number and she called me back later in the day saying that the tenant had called them for work and had assured them that she was the owner of the property. The accountant told me that the company makes every effort to ensure that they are dealing with the property's true owner, but insisted that they can't be responsible for mistakes of this sort, and that they would be sending the bills to collection. Although they were in possession of my contact information after the earlier job, they made no effort to contact me by phone or email regarding the later work. I hope no one else makes the mistake of dealing with them.

I am aware of this situation being addressed. The original service that was performed after the replacement of her system was called in in March of 2021. I tried to call ****************** several times, only to get a voicemail referring me to her maintenance man, which I contacted, and he approved me to do the job requested. On EVERY phone call that comes in, the caller is asked if they own the home, I cannot control what I am told. Back in October of 2020, ****************** was aware of the situation of the people she was renting to, they were very shady. Her house was about to be condemned, because of the septic tank and no water, with about 6 people living there, including children, but we fixed the problem and the house was no longer in danger of being condemned. ****************** is very seldom in the country and very hard to get a hold of. She received several statements, at least 1 per month, and was called, but referred to the maintenance man per her voicemail. We did the work that was requested and deserve to get paid. The last time I spoke with her, she stated that she was taking her tenants to court, and now has to take them to court for this. After that conversation I never heard back from her. This **** has NOTHING to do with the replacement of the tank. I was called for a back up at the same property, where the tenants had been pouring paint in the drains causing a clog and a back up. The person at 719-***-1521, stated that the landlord would pay for the service by credit card, but that was never done. I have attached a copy of the call log for this particular job, that shows the phone number for the tenant and the landlord (maintenance man) who approved the work.
