I had a friend and client who I coached through a divorce and has been my photographer for close to 20 years. As his coach he has confided in me very personal details. With the exception of one time in the past where he made advancements, the relationship has been respectful and platonic. (The initial advancement he made, I made it clear what my interest and intention was = that I'm not interested in being romantic with him) == I married in 2010 and continued to do photo shoots with this man. Some were boudoir shoots. In the past year I have extended myself in friendship as well as support. Last year I received a call to do some photos in his new studio to test the natural light. I paid for the supplies to do a tintype. In February, I bought 2 gift certificates to help him out financially. ******* invited him to spend time in ****** with my husband and I, and negotiated a price for him to chip in on the accommodations. He came to ****** all was well. His daughter (who graduated with my son) was there. We drove 1.5 hours to pick him up and he stayed with us for 3 nights. During all this time there is all of our communications documented. In June he approached my husband and lied to him and told him I make advancements during photos. I recently wrote him an email and stated that was unethical and requested my photos he has not provided from the last shoot, and a refund on the two gift certificates I purchased and let him know that I cannot support him. His response was that he "had a no refund policy on gift certificates" - I have searched the gift certificate, the email it came in and all over his website and there is no such policy noted. Also, I should not have to pay to be subjected to this behavior from a business owner in the community. This type of slander and libel is negligent and unethical. I know he has had *** while on shoot with other clients. He works for the school district for school photos. I have more uploads but cant get them to load.
