On 10/17 my spouse and I met with **********************, from Clearwater Exteriors, and agreed to purchase 14 custom built windows for our home. We paid $1000 via credit card and applied for financing via ********* for $25,000, which was facilitated by ******* ****** stated that a "chief site inspector" (*****) would contact us to arrange a time to conduct an inspection and take measurements for our custom built windows and then after that, the windows would take approximately 8 weeks to manufacture before they could be installed and no further payment would be due until one month after the project was complete. On 10/19, ***** contacted us to schedule an appointment for the measurements which we scheduled for 10/23 at 5pm. I left work early on 10/23 to be home to meet *****, and he never showed up. I called and texted him, and finally at 5:30pm he texted me to say that he had an emergency and wasn't coming. On 10/24, we received a call from a a different person, ******, who said he was going to do the measurements and asked when we'd be available. I told him I needed to check with my spouse and I'd call him back. I called/texted him later that day to ask if he could come 10/27 at 5pm, and he never responded to my messages. On 10/27 at 4:55 pm he called and asked if he could still come, and I told him that because he never responded/confirmed we had made other plans and were not available. I communicated to ****** via email, that due to these issues of unreliablity/unprofessionalism, we decided we no longer wanted to use their company to do our windows, but she said our custom built windows were already in production so we couldn't cancel. How, if no measurements had been taken? On 11/3, I called and spoke to a manager, ***********************, who informed me that the contract we signed said we had 3 days (from 10/17) to cancel or we would owe 40% of the cost of the windows. I informed **** that we never received a copy of any contract, so he sent it to me that day, 11/3.
