Negative reviews by renters are not posted on their website. I left a negative review of a property I renter and it was never responded to by retreatia or posted on the property listing.

They do not have someone on call 24/7 so any issues can't be resolved and our vacation was almost ruined multiple times because of this! We showed up at the office around 6 PM on Friday and since the office was already closed for the day, could not get our keys. The phone number on the front door just went to the office and the emergency maintenance line went to a call center elsewhere in ********. The emergency line was completely unable to assist us. Upon further inspection of my confirmation email I saw at the END of the email in small letters that we were supposed to let the office know when we would be arriving. Thankfully another guest let me into the lock box with her code so we could get our keys. This is absolutely absurd to me that they didn't automatically email us a lockbox code when we didn't pick up our keys for the day. Poor service. But it unfortunately only gets worse.We arrived at the condo and were missing the two pack n plays we requested. Our two babies had to SLEEP ON THE ***** for the night on a towel surrounded by our luggage to keep her contained. Housekeeping did bring us the pack n plays the next day and we did get a $125 refund, but I'm still completely appalled and do not recommend staying with this company.

We reserved a private home with a large deck and private hot tub. The day before our trip, Retreatia emailed me and informed me that the place we booked was flooded. They indicated they found another place for us to stay and stated the "unit is slightly more expensive, however we will cover the price difference, you are all set." After doing some research, this was a lie. Looking at a comparable weekend, the new place they put us in was about half the cost of our original reservation. Although the flood was not Retreatia's fault, there was no reason to lie to us saying the unrented place they were putting us in cost more but they would cover the cost. The only reason I believe that Retreatia hid behind that lie is to avoid refunding us the market difference. I won't disparage the place Retreatia put us in, as it wasn't the owners fault, but it was a dank townhome that was in no way comparable to the private house we rented. Retreatia stuck to its guns claiming the place they put us in was more for the weekend we stayed there, even though the subsequent weekend was half the cost of our rental on Retreatia's website. In digging their heels in, Retreatia claimed short term rental prices vary. That is disingenuous at best, as a place that is vacant wouldn't really have higher rates, and short term rental rates don't vary by over half the cost on comparable weekends. We rent mountain places all the time and know the market doesn't work that way. Given Retreatia's willingness to lie about the rates of our alternative rental spot, it really makes me question whether the place we originally rented actually had a flood. The blatant dishonesty is the issue. They dug their heels in and refused to refund us the market rates for the significantly reduced quality of accommodations that we originally booked and paid for. I would advise against renting homes managed by Retreatia, as their honesty and customer service are highly questionable.
