4 months ago I went into contract with Pangle International LLC (****** ******-Owner). The build was postponed for many understandable reasons. His house was sadly lost in the Superior fires. He had issues with a trailer, then Covid, then vacation for 2 weeks, then bad weather, water main breaks and more. The problem is not the issues that came up as much as it is the lack of communication with me and more importantly the lack of work. In the 4 months since we have started this project I have had to sign work order changes, completion date changes and he has only been out for part of two days. When concerned about the work that he has done with the build he has again ignored my calls. I have a long list of examples and texts that support this. We are at our wits end with Donald and would like some support getting this project completed but wish we could get someone to inspect the work and make sure it is up to standards. He did not pull a permit because it is a ground level deck. He was going to put the joists at 24 inches which does not meet the agreed upon 12 inch on center price that we discussed and that he suggested. Now he has agreed as I covered the cost for wood. Even though this is a "fixed" contract I have had sign another work order change to pay an extra $2400 for a concrete job that was $7200. Also the higher price never discussed until afterwords. The work he has done, his cuts on the 16 foot boards are not the same and I am concerned how that will look when anchored down. If one is higher the deck would uneven. He does not show and does not return calls or emails. My suspicion is that he will blame the asphalt company ****** ***** ******** who is not coming out to look at a tiny crack that I asked him to look into. That however does not explain why he is not calling me to answer questions or come out to put in the work to finish. Any help is appreciated.
