This company installed sod for my elderly mother. Apparently, they have no clue how to do this properly, and they used improper top soil, not to mention they broke sprinkler heads and never repaired them. Owner was argumentative about everything, even accusing my 90 year old mother of not watering it. Which is completely false. They sod never took, and had weeds growing up through the seems and underneath because they didn't prepare the soil properly. They take zero responsibility and are blaming my mother. Owner has been difficult and non responsive. I tried to come to an agreement with him, but he never sends paper work he promises. We want refund for the $2,700 my mother paid him with a check.

I am rejecting this response because: There is no 'evidence' that business owner has, other than to claim his false lies.  He does not know how to properly install sod, which was told to us by 2 other companies (Centennial Landscaping and Revive Landscaping), and the city of Aurora which came out.  He used sand which made the sod too dry so it never took.  Both sod companies told us the same thing...that it was not prepared properly.  You can see weeds growing up between the seams.  He did not remove the old weeds, you can clearly see them growing up through the sod he laid.  He refused to take responsibility for his shoddy work, threatens me with a lawsuit if I leave an honest review, and makes no attempt to do the right thing.  Awful person to deal with.  We have since had new sod put in by a real professional company, and it looks great.  Applied Property Services needs to refund us.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

Our Company has evidence and statements from people she claimed to have told her our work was  allegedly done incorrect. Which we provided to our attorneys as this matter has been referred to them.

the client was offered a resolution  based on the sole fact that we are neighbors with her mother, and she initially agreed to this then changed her mind (*********************************) . We accepted no fault at the time and still do not accept any fault.

This person has gone online to several sites leaving negative reviews about our company and spreading statements that are not true. Please note this person was never present during the project, and she is NOT the client we did the work for.

This person has gone as far as accusing real customers of leaving fake positive reviews on sites.  We have handed Situation over to our  attorneys to handle since this person cannot be reasoned with. Per our attorneys , it appears that Ms. ****************************** does NOT  want  to come to a resolution on  "behalf" of her mother, and is attempting to damage our companies reputation online as she threatened she would... if she did not get her way on the matter.

As mentioned above this has been handed over to our attorneys.

      Complaint: 17929465

I am rejecting this response because: He is still refusing to accept responsibility for his shoddy work.  He was very unprofessional from the start.  My 90 year old mother hired him to install sod, because yes, she is his neighbor, and unfortunately did not do her homework when hiring him.  She trusted that he would have integrity due to the fact he is a neighbor, but apparently he took advantage of an elderly woman.  He never gave her proper paperwork to begin with, no written contract...my mother has two cancelled checks she wrote him, that's it.  He never told her when he was coming over to do any work, never kept her informed of what he was doing.  She never saw him during the installation process.  We had 2 other companies examine his work after he laid the sod, which eventually died, and they both told us the same thing...he did not put it in properly, and did not prepare the soil correctly.  He can argue all he wants with his fake accusations, we have the proof...our dead lawn.  My mother had to hire a second company to come out and put in another lawn because the lawn that Applied Property Services put in was laid over existing weeds which had taken over the yard.  We were getting compaints from the city about his lawn that was nothing but weeds.  He broke sprinkler heads and never fixed them.  Accused my mother of not watering (which she did!).  We came to an agreement about how to handle the situation, and he was to provide new sod and we were to have it installed by someone else (this was HIS solution, and I accepted it).  But **** NEVER emailed me the agreement to sign, like he said he would.  Again, zero communication on his part, and zero integrity.  I contacted him, and he said he would be in touch, which he never was.  So we hired another company and they installed a beautiful, lush green lawn.  I did leave HONEST reviews, all facts, on line and I stand behind my word 1000%.  He is trying scare tactics by having some lame attorney (that had his license revoked for a year) contact me about suing because I left reviews.  He can *** me all he wants...anti-SLAPP laws are in place for people like him.  **** need to refund 100% of the money my mother paid him.  No other resolution will be accepted at this point.  And **** is the one who immediately followed up my honest review on Yelp, pretending to be a client.  Funny how the 'client' mentioned 'watering the lawn'...something **** keeps blaming my mother not doing.  He is dishonest and accuses others of being dishonest.  He is very unprofessional.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

************************************ is attempting to make a claim almost one year after the sod was installed.

************************************ has made claims that we followed up on, and found to be untrue. She involved ************ and told us ************ said it was too late to have installed it, we contacted ************ after this claim, and they advised that they never said those statements  to *****************, and they told ***************** that the sod could be installed all the way into December. She went as far as to asking for records of what material was purchased for her mothers property, Which where provided.

The sod did not survive, because it was not watered enough, and through the winter.

Once She determined that her "installing too late" statement was not going to work out, she then began to  claim  the soil, then the weeds, then it not being installed properly.

Ms.*************; ******* stated that the following companies said our work was done incorrectly:

      1. Centennial Landscaping

      2.Mirabel

      3. Revive Landscaping

Yet we never received these statements from her that she was going to send.

In addition, We contacted ** from ***********, (which is the company she chose to go with to replace the sod - Not the companies above) ** told us he never had an opinion on the sod, and never made statements about the grass.

************************************* is also claiming that we where never in contact with her mother *******************************, this statement is also untrue, since we have phone records of calls we made to her mother and calls her mother made back to us before and during the installation process.

Also there was one check issued as a deposit, and another issued after the work was completed, and her mother ******************************* was satisfied with the work when she provided the last check.

Our bank has never notified us of a cancelled check, as i am sure it is protocol for banks to make us aware of that.

************************************ shows up almost a year later after the job is done, claiming we took advantage of her 90 year old mother, when in fact we where watering her mothers grass in the evenings after installing, and donated our hose to ********************************

Attorneys are involved, because *********************************** resorted to immediately threatening's our company with leaving negative reviews and taking us to court. She has gone as far as attacking honest reviews clients have left us and making assumptions that our company is posting our own fake reviews.

As we mentioned in previous messages, Applied Property Services attempted to come up with a resolution due to Her Mother ******************************* being our neighbor, not because we admitted fault.  We had agreed on a resolution that ************************************* had agreed on, and then back tracked on. The Resolution we offered was to remove and dispose of old dead grass, and purchase and deliver new grass/sod  for *******************************  ******************************************* and was to notify us when she had the labor ready to install so that we could coordinate the date to  deliver the sod. 1-2 Weeks later ************************************* sends us a text message indicating that ******** Blue Grass Might be outlawed in the future, because of water concerns. So they where looking into "More rock, retention walls, and very little grass" one to two weeks after that message they installed grass on the property.

We do have multiple pictures of the grass being installed, in addition to  the grading which we happened to do for Free.

As mentioned previously, we do not believe we will get to a resolution with *************************************
