On May 18 2023, Jim needham plumbing sent their plumber, ****, and 4 others to our investment property (*******************) to replace the main line drain inside our house that leads outside as it was an old, cast iron pipe and needed to be replaced before it caused damage.The morning of the drain replacement ****, complained of being tired, not having coffee yet. One of the other men that showed up made a comment/joke about **** forgetting his tablet everywhere he goes.I did not see the pipe they removed, no one walked me through what they did. I spent almost 14k (no financing). I was told everything was good to go, everything worked correctly. I assumed the plumbing company did their job as expected based on the feedback they gave. A few weeks ago our tenants noticed a slow water leak. We extensively investigated, found no definitive leak inside the bath/laundry. July 24 2023 my husband investigated the crawlspace. He saw the cap to the main drain had not been replaced. No 1 was in the crawlspace since may 18. The cap for it was in a pool of water in our crawl space next to pair of channel locks someone forgot. Anytime water was used above, it would come out of the uncapped drain line into the crawlspace &eventually became so water saturated that it began leaking under the walls into the laundry/bathroom that share the same wall line.I immediately emailed the company email provided on the website: debannneedham at gmail dot ********** received no response.This is total neglegence on this companies behalf. At no point should a risk of an important job like this involve technicians forgetting a SIMPLE, non-negotiable, task like replacing the cap to a drain line when the job is complete. We now have extensive water damage/mold in our crawl space, our bath/laundry room trim/vanity/tile needs to be replaced after being compromised by ************ growth.There are more details but I can't add more characters to this box. My husband was finally able to get in contact with someone from this company. They are cleaning up the mold growth, running dehumidifiers and are set to replace the bathroom vanity on Tuesday, August 1st. They are also going to rescope the sewer line to make sure nothing else was forgotten. So long as they follow through I have no complaint.
