Im so concerned with the quality of my project. Colorado builders corp put zero quality control into my project. They seem to be concerned about one thing and one thing only , Money. So sad the way the owners have no scheduling tools or organizations . Not even sure how they have a license . They have multiple Lawsuits against them my attorney said .

We have never done any business with ***************  I believe this complaint was made toward the wrong company.  Please have ************** provide any and all documentation, contracts, proof of work, as we have had no business with **************.

We entered into a contract with Colorado Builders Corp. to replace our roof due to hail damage. In addition to having horrific customer service that practices that *** or *** not have been illegal, but were certainly unethical and deceptive, they have failed to provide the product and service that was agreed upon in the timeframe that was agreed upon. This is outlined in the attachments. They are unlicensed to do work in ******, despite claiming to be licensed, and did not pull a permit as required by the city. They pulled a permit after the work was done and failed inspection. They have wavered between being unresponsive and aggressive. They actually attempted to have us sign over a check before even signing a contract. We have not made payment yet, and as such, they have said they intend to put a lien on our house.

The contractor said they intend to do the necessary work required to pass inspection. All work was supposed to be completed by 10/13 but since it failed inspection, we thought a reasonable request was that they do the work needed within 5 business days (by 10/20). If they can't do that, then our original resolution request remains.

Our company entered into a contract with ************************* and *********************** on 09/25/23.  The contract was sent on 09/14/23 via DocuSign.  The contract was sent based on a verbal agreement with ******** and ***********  Although the contract was not fully executed our company worked in Good Faith off the verbal agreement.  We moved forward to order materials through our supply house SPEC Building Materials on 09/08/23 and the materials were delivered on Thursday 09/14/23.  The full residential construction contract was still not signed, but being in constant communication with ********, our company continued to work in good faith.  We still did not collect any form of payment, as ******** did not feel comfortable releasing the payment to our company, which she received from their insurance company.  Upon signing the contact our company was informed by ******** that she and ***** would be out of town for 2 weeks and upon returning they would would have house guests for another week.  We were instructed by ******** NOT to perform and work on their home while they were out of town or while they hosted guests in their home. We were then told their house guest cancelled their visit, and ******** expected our company to rearrange our existing schedule to accommodate her demands to get her project completed.  In order to accommodate her demands we hired a sub-contractor to complete their project.  Our sub pulled their own permit as there were the ones completing the project.   We were scheduled to start work on their on home on 09/29/23 and informed by ******** that she was recently diagnosed with COVID. Our crew was then rescheduled to start a few days later.  Upon completion of the project the inspection was scheduled and unfortunately the inspection failed as we did not have a long enough ladder set up the inspector so he could properly see the underlayment and flashings.  Our company immediately sent pictures to the inspector who failed our project showing the project in full start to finish along with all flashings installed and all underlayment.  I have attached a copy of the email and supporting pictures sent to the inspector.  Let me remind you, up until this point our company has still be working in Good Faith, and ******** continually refused to release to ACV Payment per our contract.  We did NOT receive any form of payment until the home passed inspection. This is not a valid complaint.  ******** continually refused to release a payment per the contract, a which point there was a conversation of a mechanic's lien in the event payment was not received for services rendered.

I wanted to clarify and correct several claims made by the contractor in their response.

      1) They delivered the materials to our house without informing us, which they were supposed to do. Had they talked to us, they would have known that they couldn't start for several weeks due to our plans. Our concern was having the materials laying around. We were concerned they would be stolen and they also took up our entire backyard so it was unusable during. We wanted the project done so the materials would be out of the way. Had they not been delivered so far in advance without our knowledge, the timing would not have been a problem.

      2) Inspection requirements, including the size of ladder needed and what the inspector carries with them area known in advance. The contractor was supposed to provide a ladder initially and that was known.

      3) The inspection failed because they also did not have proper materials installed. They had to come back and fix that. It was not simply the ladder.

      4) Most importantly, the contractor is not licensed with the **************, as they claim in the initial contract. We asked numerous times for them to correct us if that was wrong and they failed to do so. The city confirmed they are not licensed. This would be why they had to subcontract.

      5) they also lied about pulling a permit. They did not do so until the project was complete, which is not legal.

As a resolution at this point, I do not think they should be allowed to be listed under BBB because they are not licensed and outright lied about both that and the permit.

      Good afternoon-

Thank you for reviewing this complaint. I'm not sure I understand the resolution. Are unlicensed business allowed to be on BBB? This contractor lied about being licensed.

      Thank you,
