The contractor we hired to renovate the cabinets in our kitchen has initiated a lien against our house and has noted within the lien that the work was completed, however, the work has not been completed after nearly 10 months. He originally sold us the project would take no more than 6-8 weeks. We have continued to be treated poorly and accused of misunderstanding what he was selling throughout the entirety of the process. Despite all of that, and despite the contract saying the final payment is not due until the work is completed (which work has still not been completed), we made the payment in full. There were no attempts to call us or email us about the status of the payment. There actually wasnt even a demand for payment, which we would have complied with. We emailed AJ that we would make the final payment once the work was complete, not sure if he missed that email or elected to take ignore it but the work is still not complete, although the lien says otherwise.Business response
