The ******** ********** of ******************* has an open investigation (case # ****-7086) against ****, ** vet *****************************, and vet tech *************************** for the following events.I brought my shih tzu (******) to ****'s emergency department, I had called at 6am to inform them that I was coming with an emergency and a description of the symptoms. ****** was extremely bloated, in pain from both a visual and audible perspective, vomiting, and displaying all the other classic signs of a digestive obstruction. The department's lead technician, ***************************, took ****** to see the ** vet who was working at 6:30am - *************************. ***** came back less than 2 minutes later, told me **************** had examined him, he was "stable", and I "should go somewhere else" if I though my dog needed care . This was a fabrication between ************************* (the vet) and her friend *************************** (the tech). ****'s management has admitted that *************************** did the exam in place of, and with the knowledge of, ****************. Both ****** and ********, falsified documentation and knowingly gave false information in a medical environment. **************** didn't want another patient, so ***** did the exam and lied on her behalf. I took my dog to VRCC where he spent the next 4 days in intensive care for a bowl obstruction. ***************************** and *************************** should both be fired - but **** has done nothing to correct this problem.

Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Pc Response

      02/01/2022

******************, All of the purported information in your social media post has been reviewed with you and thoroughly explained by both the clinical and management teams at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital following an exhaustive reconstruction of your visit. We have attempted to clarify what is fact versus perception, but you have chosen to bring your claims to the state veterinary board, and they are in receipt of the records. We place a high degree of trust in the boards ability to review the facts of this case and provide a judicious finding. Once that occurs, we anticipate your respect for that decision and a cessation of any further efforts to criticize our hospital.Everyone who works in the veterinary industry are there to provide care and help as many pets as they possibly can. They care deeply about each and every one and, especially in recent times, face an at times unmanageable level of stress in their jobs. Demand for veterinary services is at an all-time high, and many peoples patience is, in general, at an unprecedented low. Our ask of every owner is to collaborate with us as a team in the assessment and care process with patience, respect, and flexibility.
