      I purchased a yale lock in 2018, it was replaced in 2023 since it was defaulty. Not even a year later the new one broke. Yale will not replace the new one since the warranty is only on the first. This make no sense. They obviously have a bad product. So now I can't use my front door. Great to see they care about the security of their clients.

      Given the price of this product, a 1 year warranty does not make sense. I purchased this unit and installed it correctly per the instructions provided by Yale. The unit worked correctly just under 2 years, and started having a "jamming error". I called Yale support and they confirmed it's a common & "Known" issue with the motor and would need to be replaced. I escalated this 6 times asking if they would make an exception based on the confirmation of it being a known issue, but because it is out of warranty, they will not replace it. Unfortunately, they only offer a 1 year warranty and would not make an exception to replace it, although they said it's not typical, they confirmed it's a common issue (which does not make any sense...). They offered a 20% discount for a new one - I fear this is a product of engineered obsolescence; units are built to last for a limited time, so consumers will need to buy a new one. Terrible product and customer retention/service. This is far from the inventor Linus Yale quality & lasting design of their products...

      The is the worse lock we have ever purchased. We purchased with the intent to increase our security even when we are not home. The lock opens and shuts the door at random even at night. The store won't take it back at 3 months, referring us to the company. The company will not honor a refund because it was not purchased thru them. The customer service people just want us to keep sending them screen shots of what is happening but they don't solve anything. We are stuck with a lock that is no good that we will have to replace and out the hundreds of dollars that we paid for it. They would not be able to get away with this.

      For as long as this company has been in business, and as much as they charge for their product: the outcome is abysmal. Yale smart locks more specifically, coupled with the application, are astoundingly antiquated, poorly programmed, and as clunky as a brand new business who has never entered this segment before. I am appalled at their lack of leadership, and inability to debug their system. I am very familiar with more than one of these smart locks. I purchased seven of their: "latest and greatest" low profile, no keyhole, digitally touch sensitive screen that activates when touched, bluetooth, Google Assistant & Alexa connecting, WiFi hub included smart locks that are meant to work in conjunction with the mobile application. This big purchase was to try them in an AirBnB. I'm ashamed of spending as much money as I have on this pathetic product. I cannot wait to take that >$2,000.00 and purchase quality goods from any competitor that actually makes a compelling product. These smart locks: disconnect from WiFi for no apparent reason, randomly unlock, fail to lock, partially lock, not communicate with the application, or shut down (with brand new batteries) and cease to function altogether... FREQUENTLY. I'm fluent in computer hardware, software, and telecommunications. I net meshed this particular AirBnB flawlessly with four routers, to improve the optical gigabit connection the property has which can easily support over one hundred devices at once. I am no fool. I also wouldn't take the time to actually type this on BBB unless I'm completely disgusted with Yale. Now I'm having **** ***** attempt to help me setup a new system; after we try swapping lock after lock. However, if this happened over several locks out of seven, this isn't a bad apple scenario - it's recurring, and evidently not going to resolve itself. Do not buy this product, or you'll end up tinkering, resetting, factory resetting, recalibrating, etc every couple of weeks to no end.
