If I can give them no stars I would. The principal owner is a tyrant and a bully. Angela Tries to keep her tenants under her thumb and in fear. When I moved out there were 30 tenants in separate developments all being bullied threatened and served for as little as 5 days in arrears. Don't do it.

I would give this business a negative rating if I could. My experience with Antoinette was extremely unpleasant. Initially, she seemed helpful and provided the information I requested, but her demeanor was curt and unfriendly. The real issue arose when I expressed interest in submitting an application for a unit she had mentioned the previous day. She informed me that someone had viewed it that morning and already applied. When I asked if I could still submit an application for comparison, she brusquely stated, "It's a first come, first serve basis" and "I can't keep waiting on you to get me an application." Despite having been in contact for less than 24 hours and indicating my interest promptly, I was never sent the application. I offered to submit all required documents by the end of the business day, but she repeated her previous statements, adding that she manages 20 properties and speaks to 100 people daily. I decided to check ****** reviews and found several negative ones, leading me to believe this might be a blessing in disguise. I mentioned she seemed overworked and apologized for any inconvenience, wishing her a good day. At this point, she reacted aggressively, threatening to report me to my institution for speaking to an adult in such a manner. I am 25 years old and very much an adult. I told her she could proceed with her report and that I would be filing a complaint as well. She then escalated the situation, threatening legal action for harassment and bombarding me with calls and texts, stating she would not rent to me despite other units being available. This interaction was highly unprofessional and unpleasant. I would not recommend dealing with this business.

I almost rented an apartment in East Haven. Anne was my contact. Each time we spoke basically, everything was my fault. I was supposed to move in on June 13 (the date she told me). Then I texted her I received the application and would fill it out. Then she decided to text me that I should meet her on May 29th to get the keys to move in. She never called to me about changing the date. I don't read my text every day, and I wasn't asked if I wanted to move on May 29th. I gave my application and my cosigner received forms to sign, which she did. Then, the day I received the keys, she called me back to say they hadn't received my cosigner paperwork. I phoned my cosigner and she confirmed she sent it. Then Anne said it wasn't the entire application. Again, that was my fault when actually it was who ever sent her paperwork. Bottom line, "If you don't get the 25-page signed application from your cosigner today, I'll put it up for rent again." THE SKETCHY PART IS THEY ONLY WANT CASH OR A MONEY ORDER. The place to bring the money is an old storage building that Fed Ex use to use. You go there and enter this tiny space, ring the buzzer and a young woman comes to the door to take your money. The door is opened only enough to take the money and give you a receipt. Like she's afraid of being attacked. The building is dark so you can't see in it. So every month I would have to go to a bank and get cash or a money order to pay rent.

Not a safe place to live in ***** ****** This week there were multiple car break ins and car tires stolen. They leave the front and back doors propped open when they should be key-access only. The landlord, Antoinette, also messages tenants asking them to leave 5 star reviews so I would be wary of their truthfulness.

First and foremost I am in love with my 2 bedroom apartment at the ******* ** ***** *****. I am giving them 5 stars because they are professional and such an amazing company. I am writing this review on behalf of my personal experience with Antoinette who has been one of the most phenomenal owners I have ever met. Her daughter Gianna is also so available and knowable about the property at the ******** ***** ****** I must say the on site maitenance crew is awesome as well. Every time you call they are right here to deal with what ever is going on in a professional manner. That is very important for me as well. It’s a shame that people are writing bad reviews about this company, I feel those people must have had a different experience. But the facts are is that *** ******* ** ***** ***** is such a gorgeous place to live. It’s also safe and the neighbors are friendly and always willing to assist if they see me carrying bags or boxes. This building where I live is going to be my home for some years. Again I need to say I feel very safe, and the neighbors look out as well as the cameras which are detect any suspicious behaviors. I am so glad that I waited a year to move here at these luxury apartments at the ******** Even though there is construction going on in the building next door, people have to have patience and consideration for the new development takes time. In closing, to whom it may concern I am a proud tenant at the ******* ** ***** ***** *********** and the management of JFA is phenomenal company. I am thankful for Antoinette, her daughter, and also Anne . I will share and spread lots of love for the JFA family owned company. I also would like to start a board of trustee for this company so it can expand. I am proud also. To leave my name as well, which is *** *********** I would give JFA a rating of a hundred percent because they deserve it. I love the professionalism from the entire company. Absolutely terrible management company. Anne and Gianna are fine and great at their jobs. The true nightmare lies with Antionette, the landlord. She enjoys calling and texting your personal phone at all hours of the day to harass you and demanding calls back for non-urgent issues. She then completely places the blame on you for lost documentation such as rent checks, pet clauses, security deposits and more. They ONLY take paper check and then constantly lose them and blame the tenant. I strongly advise anyone to AVOID this company like the plague. They treat their tenants poorly and then threaten to evict/vacate/sue you using language and tone that one could be AGHAST at hearing from a "professional" management company with "luxury" apartments. On that note their apartments look nice on their outside but when you move in and look around they are cheaply built, cheaply made, with cheap appliances and even damaged cabinets/granite! AVOID RENTING FROM THIS NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO DESERVE IT

I have called several times inquiring about rentals, I spoke with Antoinette she was the most rude person on earth, she was very short when I asked her questions about rentals, she could not provide me with any information about her own properties. She is the most unprofessional person that I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO. She's very arrogant and talks down to you and tries to make you feel stupid, BUT IN FACT SHE'S THE STUPID ONE. I would not rent a litter box from them. Also she made it a point to tell me how many properties she owns and how many employees she has, but in reality its her fathers company. I am curious to know if her father knows how she treats potential renters????. And based on some of the reviews I read THIS IS HOW SHE TREATS EVERYONE!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I contacted the rental agent Antionette to ask a couple of questions and she was the rudest person I have spoke to in a long time. I asked if they took reference letters from landlords and her response was "absolutely not landlords lie" so is this her admitting that she also lies?? They require 3x the monthly rent in order to get an apartment which is a very hard criteria to meet unless you have a cosigner. This seems to be done purposely to discriminated against people who are part of the section 8 program as it is impossible for them to make 3x the rental income and are not allowed to have a cosigner. I suppose they rather have a secondary person on the lease that can default at any point then the guaranteed payment from section 8. Good Job JFA Management!

This is by far the worst management company I have ever dealt with in my life. I am a professional and needed an apartment part time. I moved into Parker Place apartments two years ago and from the start the nightmare began. I was offered a move in special with one month free rent, however, due to management error, I was given the wrong apartment. The apartment was corrected, however, given the timing of availability of the corrected apartment, I was told the special would no longer be available. Instead, I was offered $100 off rent each month for one year (loss of $900). The apartment itself was new, clean and spacious, however, the walls are paper thin, structurally there are cracks in the walls due to settling, the ventilation noise in the guest bedroom is extremely loud and there were spiders and ants routinely found inside the apartment. Above all, I was to issue a strong WARNING to anyone considering moving in. When it came time for me to terminate my lease, Angela was horrible to deal with . I was in a situation with a co-signed lease and I was not renewing my portion of the lease at expiry. When I gave my "more than" 60 days notice, she literally screamed on the phone and told me she would have to do my "dirty work" to get my roommate out. She also cursed and made threats advising she would sue me. She is now threatening to keep my deposit of over $3,000. To this point, I had never missed a rent payment in two years and everything was paid on time and in full, even during the pandemic. Angela & staff are the true definition of slumlords. She tries to use scare tactics and recites "rules" that do not even exists. She threatens her "lawyer" and will not return your deposit at move out. During the course of living there over 2 years, she also made mistakes such as following up for rent - only she contacted me instead of another tenant. She has also lost checks. She is aggressive and has no business handling management of this company.

A family of crooks runs this company, and they should be put out of business for how they treat the tenants and the properties. Please use this review as a WARNING not to move into any of their properties. There is MOLD. JFA does not care, nor do they fix it. However, they will make it the tenants' responsibility to clean it. So if you don't clean it yourself, they will charge you for it. They do not fix anything. And when you ask, they treat you like scum. They retaliate if you stand up for yourself and your rights as a paying tenant. They are terrible people. Slumlords is a term made for them. Y ou can not have an adult conversation with either sister Angela or Antionette. Both are severely unprofessional and cannot communicate other than by yelling, gaslighting, or hanging up on the tenants. Read the lease! They make it so you will pay for everything when you move out. Even if you live there for 15+ years, there is NO such thing as normal wear and tear in the lease. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR EVERYTHING. They are crooks. When you move in and do a walk-through with one of the incompetent sisters, they will have you sign off on anything noted to be damaged. But look closely at the paperwork because they didn't actually write down any of the noted damage, and now you just signed off on it. Also, a snake move, they don't give you a copy of it. So you have no proof. If you move in, take pictures and videos of everything in the apartment. Send it to them in an email for documentation as well. Save them. Protect yourself as much as you can. They are notorious liars and deny everything, and it's in your best interest to document all conversations with this company. They go after the disabled and elderly because they are the easiest victims. A message to Antoinette and Angela, and JFA Co, You should be ashamed of yourselves for how you treat your tenants.
