I have gone to this business for more than 27 years. In the last 2 years, they have changed their policies without informing me of any change-no signs, no explanation upon ordering a pair of glasses, etc. I went into the store to have them fix a pair of frames that I ordered from ****** ****** (because of COVID), but Vision Center did the lenses. During that visit I picked out a pair of new frames and ordered them. I was told by Laura that I had to pay for the frames and lenses in total upfront. That was A NEW POLICY. I used to pay half upfront. So, after thinking about that, I went home and changed my mind-I then went back to the store and cancelled the glasses within 1 hour. Laura called the ********** store and told the person not to put the charge through. And I was told the charge wasn’t put through. Well, 2 months later, I looked at my ********** account, and sure enough a $500 charge was there from 2 months prior. I put a dispute through ********** and called Laura. Well, they put the charge through anyway, never called me, never produced the glasses. This was a complete attempt to STEAL MONEY from me. They never told me there were no refunds once you order a pair of glasses. And the owner, Andrew Simon, has now put through the order that I am no longer to be a customer. I have spent more than $20,000 over the last 23 years with VISION CENTER. They are a privately held business that operates independently of LAWS regarding fair business practices. They need to be reminded of fair play laws for customers. And please tell them to publicize their policies.
