      I’m filing a complaint with this company in regards to denture work that I was poorly and falsely informed about and in a sense scammed over. The work done was poor and all that was valuable to this company and Dentist was getting paid and not making sure the patient was satisfied with the job done. Multiple visits trying to rectify broken teeth on these dentures and I was told from the beginning I would have no issues or problems. I voiced my complaint to the dentist himself as I was extremely upset because I was now being told they are basically falling apart because it’s “my fault”. This office is constantly pushing to get paid but when it comes time to do the work or hear a patient out they refuse. I was sent a discharge letter following my last appointment however I’m now out $10,000 and teeth that are broken.

      This client was very happy with the work delivered, as he even traveled on vacation to ****** and reported back how happy he was with how he was able to enjoy his food and smile in his pictures.

      The problem however, is this client insists on sleeping with his denture teeth in his mouth, which is contra-indicated. We have communicated this to him on multiple occasions (as documented in his medical records), and advised strongly against wearing his dentures to sleep due to the damaging nature clenching and grinding can have on teeth. He was also specifically warned multiples times that he will ultimately break the plastic teeth and possibly cause irreparable damage to the underlying jaw bone and implants.

      Needless to say, he did not heed our warning as demonstrated by the wear pattern observed at his checkup visits.

       

      Once he reported to us that two teeth had in-fact chipped, we offered a one-time good-faith solution to replace his entire denture (AT COST) with a brand new one, provided he takes our warning seriously this time, and promises not to wear them at night.

      The patient then became irate and made hostile and threatening remarks towards the office staff. He was subsequently dismissed from our practice due to the threatening nature of his remarks, and for making everyone fearful and very uncomfortable working with him.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This response is laughable, 

      These dentures are not slept in- but to prove the point made of how money hungry Dr.G*** is to offer a one time replacement as stated “at cost” instead of offering a warranty to patients in good faith (like most businesses that make dentures do.) No, instead patients are verbally assured everything will be fine but when a patient is unhappy with work done or uncomfortable, this dentist refuses to take accountability and help his patients as a provider should. If anyone paid $10,000 for an item and didn’t get what they were promised and then asked for more money before work could be done they wouldn’t be happy either, but to say I was threatening in nature is just wrong! From the negative reviews of other patients across google there is one thing that is common amongst each one- Money, if you don’t have enough to give on the spot he doesn’t want your business and if your unhappy, too bad. That is the only reason he responded to this complaint because I took my review to google-He’s quite quick to respond on google and places he can’t delete a negative review.I have never felt so scammed by a business before.

      I will try and address the issues systematically, as best I can:

      1. As the BBB will inform you Mr. ****, there must have been a miscommunication as we never received any prior communication from the BBB in the past in regards to this complaint. And the only way I was made aware of it was through your google review, as we monitor those regularly.
      As soon as I was made aware of that, I contacted the BBB to make sure they had all our correct and up to date information. Otherwise, I would not be responding to this complaint either.

      2. Your own chart records document your appointment interview and own quote as acknowledging that you prefer to sleep with the denture in at night, since you have done that with the older set you had from ***** dental, with no problem.

      3. We do not install dishwashers, we are in the medical field. There are no explicit warranties of any kind, not in writing nor verbal, aside form our professional word that if the prosthetic is used as indicated, you should be able to expect typical results. But if a prosthetic is used outside of it's indications, it will meet a predictable fate. All we can do is advised and make recommendation against using it in any atypical fashion.

      Besides, no product warranty in any industry, of any kind, will be honored if the failure is due to abuse or misuse. If you tow a boat with a small sedan and blow the transmission, no warranty will cover that.

      It is unfortunate, but we really tried our best to educate and advise on this situation.
