My mother signed a lease for an apartment, on move in date it was not in a clean livable state. Landlord refused to come to an agreed solution stating we no longer needed to move in. She hung up on me and my sister advocating for our mother and has been non responsive for outreach to get our security deposit back and confirmation of the lease not being active. She responded “ she will get her money when she gets her money to an email request for a refund of the security deposit.Business response

**** ************ signed a lease agreement with our company on 1/15/24, expressing her intention to move in on 2/14. As a part of our standard procedure, the apartment was subjected to professional cleaning, complete repainting, and new flooring installation throughout. However, upon receiving the keys, **** expressed her dissatisfaction with the unit. In order to address her concerns, we offered to send a member of our team to rectify any issues she may have had. Despite our efforts, **** made the decision to terminate her lease agreement and return the key to us. Acting promptly, we immediately resumed advertising the unit and successfully found a new tenant to assume the lease agreement starting on March 15th. As soon as the unit was rented, we promptly returned ****'s security deposit to the address we had on file for her. Despite our best efforts to resolve the matter, we were unable to satisfy this particular tenant. Due to the last-minute lease termination we lost out on rent for approximately 30 days.
