Leo Brothers was hired to repair and repoint a blue stone patio in the rear of my two-family home. Between the blue stone, the worker ground out much of the old joint mortar which was cracked and/or loose in many places. He filled the joints with polymeric sand, though he did so while it was raining lightly, and just before a heavy rain which was forecast to last several days. The instructions for properly installing polymeric sand clearly state that the product should not be installed during rain or when rain is in the immediate forecast. As such, the bonding elements of the product never set, the product never hardened, and since the work was done on March 21 - 24, 2023 the polymeric sand has been steadily washing away. The patio looks far worse than before the job was done. I have contacted Leo Brothers no less than a half dozen times to have this resolved. Mostly my messages are ignored and when they do respond I'm assured they will fix it, with no follow up. On my last contact I was given the worker's number and asked to coordinate a date for repair directly with him. The number provided is non-working. My communication with Leo Brothers is well documented in email including their commitment to fix it. All of the remaining Polymeric Sand they installed needs to removed with new product installed properly.Customer response

These photos reflect how poorly the patio work was done, and how the Polymeric Sand never cured due to improper installation. I am revising my ask preferred resolution as I don't trust this contractor to complete the work to my satisfaction. I have paid them $4,800 in total and I'm requesting a 25% refund, or $1,200 which I feel is more than reasonable.
