Homestead funding has dragged my case out since august with the second lock-in being my fault because of change of job in the process. The 3rd lock in was advised by Matt b**** my loan originator. Who advised me I needed to lock in my rate now at 3.5 instead of 3.25 like originally agreed and that this 3.5 new lock would cost me 2,700 but they would wave the first lock extension of 1300. Now on this 3rd lock in I received a call from there lawyer through homestead who advised to me that he would take my closing on and it wouldn’t be a problem. He advised he was on vacation and would handle it when he gets back next week and that we have a month on this lock in with plenty of time. The week came and went I reached out to him through text and email and call the second week to find out he went into scheduled surgery and was out Monday and Tuesday so I followed up on the afternoon and was told he couldn’t drive but he would have his son drive him to his office and that I could expect a call by 7pm which I never got. The next day I called and he wasn’t in the office because now he went to the ER with kidney stones and was out once again. Now going into the weekend I let it go till Monday because none of homestead works on weekends.. I started the beginning of the 3rd week with emails to try and figure out what I needed to do to help and get the documents very little response on the exact documents I ended up calling Rick the lawyer on Thursday when he decided to give me a nasty attitude and curse me out to the extent I had to ask him what his problem was and who did he think he was talking to like that. Rick responded you! And Rick went on a short rant about how my case was suppose to be easier and that he wouldn’t of took it if he knew it would be this big of a head ache. I told Rick to never speak to me like that again as homestead is charging me for there service and I just wanted to know the exact documents or way to go about getting him the information.
