I bought a vehicle in August of last year from Shamrock Motors. The vehicle was a 2016 ***** ****. Upon returning home from purchasing the vehicle, multiple issues arose. Shamrock Motors had done work to the vehicle that was not correct including putting the wrong oil in and not greasing the brake pads causing caliper freezing and grinding/squealing when braking. About 2 months after having the vehicle and a fresh oil change, an oil level low came on my dashboard. I brought it to the Volvo dealership near me and they ran an oil consumption test which the vehicle failed. Upon further inspection the vehicle required a new engine, a $15,000 expense. The original purchase price of this vehicle was 30,000. That’s half of what it is worth and not something we could afford. I brought this concern with documents to Shamrock Motors to see if they could assist me with the issue. Multiple phone calls and emails and I was promised someone would call back and nobody ever did and they screened my calls completely ignoring the issues. I found out this issue within the 3 month 3,000 mile warranty they provide and they did nothing. This dealership advertises that they sell to out of state, yet if you have any issues they will say they can’t help you unless you come back to the dealership which was an extreme hassle as we live in ***** and their business is in ***********. Do not advertise this if you are not going to stand by it. This caused a hardship on our family and I’d like to prevent it happening to someone else. They claimed that they did a multi point inspection on the vehicle but all the windshield wipers were broken and both keys provided with the vehicle were broken as well.Initial Complaint

I bought a *** **** from shamrock motors on october21 2022, The transaction was for 29,840 dollars. My dispute with shamrock is that i was sold a vehicle without being notified the vehicle's center touch screen which basically controls everything in the truck was defective. The touch sreen controls the radio, the climate controls, back up camara and many more things. I have reached out to them multiple times looking to resolve this matter, no one seems interested in discussing my problem. I have to get the touch screen replaced at ***** dealer for $1140, it would be great if i could get some if not all of that money from Shamrock motors!
