On 8/24/22 I brought my 2013 ******* ****** to Meineke in ******* for a potential tie rod and wheel bearing replacement on passenger side. Dropped off my car at 12:00pm that day. Was told I needed a wheel bearing hub, and tie rod replaced. Cost of replacement would be $1425. Meineke did not have the wheel bearing hub so needed to find part elsewhere. Was called at 2:00 pm the following day (8/25/22) that my car was done. Was not able to get to the shop until after they closed. Got 15 seconds down the road and immediately turned around. My traction control light was on as well as my steering wheel being at a 30-degree angle. A front-end alignment was not done. Left my car in the parking lot that night. Received a call from Meineke the following morning asking what the issue was. Was told the technician had taken car for a test drive and determined that the car did not need an alignment. I don't know much about cars but any time you take tires off and mess with the steering I do know an alignment needs to be done. Was told the alignment will be done and taken care of. Was offered a free oil change on next visit, as well as the alignment being done at no charge. Was called taht afternoon and was told car was all set and was taken for yet another test drive and was reassured that it was right. Go to pick up my car, again was not able to get there before they closed on the drive home it felt odd. Originally thought I was just paranoid since things hadn't gone right. Was uneasy and took for a test drive and car started to pull to the right. My car also smelled as if someone was smoking in my car. Went to ***** on 8/27/22 for a front end alignment. tech pulled me into the garage to show mw the bolts used to hold wheel bearing hub are absolutely wrong. They stuck out 2-3 inches as if just random bolts from your hardware store. hence why car was pulling to the right, felt off and swayed back and forth going over a bump. The complete negligence and disregard is unacceptable.
