Last year my husband purchased me a $250 elements massage gift card. I am unable to get massages anymore due to restrictions I do not want to disclose. But, I was happy to use my gift card for facials/manicures/pedicures. I found out Elements massage does not offer ANYTHING but massages, I reached out to request a refund ($250 is a good chunk of money) and I was told that SOME gift cards are refundable, but mine was not, and I could instead drive to ANOTHER STATE to use my gift card for a “float pod session” I don’t even know what this is. I am so unhappy with this outcome. I even asked if they could meet me halfway with a 50% refund. They REFUSE to budge. I am out $250 for a completely UNUSED service, and was told to drive hours to use my gift card instead… ridiculous. I would like a refund.

I had opened a membership with Elements massage before the covid pandemic. I paid every month on time and had no problems. Once the pandemic started, and businesses were closed due to quarantine, they continued to bill me even though they were closed. I noticed the charges and called them to have the charges reversed. They refused and I wound up calling my credit card company to file a dispute. The credit card company reversed the charges. I found a gift cad that my wife purchased for me while we had the membership for a cost of $105. I called to make an appointment to use the gift card and this business is telling me that I need to reimburse them $30 for the chargeback fees before I can use the gift card I already paid for. Additionally, when I called to book my appointment, the woman I spoke to told me that in the state of ** gift cards do not expire. Well the owner just called me back after noticing that I am trying to use my gift card that is already paid for and she is telling me the gift card was applied to (my now closed account) so it expired after a year. So this business is scamming their gift card customers by applying the gift cards to accounts so they can workaround the law in ** that gift cards do not expire. I would like a refund for the cost of this gift card because the business will not let me use the gift card until I reimburse them for chargeback fees.
