      I'm writing regarding the lack of care my mother has experienced from the business Bright Care Services aid/owner My mom is 66, and suffers from multiple issue like congestive heart failure, COPD, and many more. She realized in 2019 she needed homecare, so she was appointed a social worker who helped her get home care t****** ***. AID 1: The first aid my mother received NEVER followed the agency or CDC protocols during covid. She never wore a mask, or gloves around my mother. She constantly talked about how dangerous the vaccine was..brainwashing my mom against it. my mother was afraid, and soon after the aid caring for her got covid. my mom was sick for 3 weeks but negative. AID #2 was mean, lazy, and threatened my mother. AID 3 is a ** *****, was never showing up. I called the owner multiple times to complain, and was told my mom was exaggerating. The owner gave me excuses like that the state couldn't find good aids, and weren't paying enough. She was annoyed and didn't care

      Bright Care Services provided 3 personal caregivers to this client.

      Our client’s first caregiver helped her for over a year. Every time we called our client asking for an evaluation, this caregiver always received a perfect evaluation with no complaints. Unfortunately, this caregiver became sick with coronavirus, and we immediately stopped sending her to the client. We also asked our client to get a coronavirus test. Our client’s test results were negative, so this caregiver did not give our client covid-19. Our client didn’t want this caregiver to work with her anymore regardless.

      Our client never complained about the second caregiver either. When we called our client, she always expressed that she was satisfied. This caregiver worked for our client for 3 months. Then, the daughter of the client called us regarding a stressful incident when the caregiver could not find any water for our client at a doctor’s office. This was because the water fountains were restricted due to covid-19 regulations. After this incident, our client decided she didn’t want to work with this caregiver as well. 

      Our client’s third caregiver worked with her for 2 months and was hired according to state regulations. Our client liked her a lot and never expressed any concerns about this caregiver during evaluations. This caregiver was pregnant and moving to a new residence, so she took a few days off, however, she always notified our agency and our client when she did so. Only on her last day did this caregiver not come to work without notifying our client or our office. When called by our client, this caregiver said she couldn’t come to work because of personal issues. Our client then decided not to work with her anymore.

      The only conversation our office ever had with the daughter of our client was when she requested that we change the caregiver or when she complained about the caregiver who was already dismissed by our client. We never had any discussions with her about a caregiver doing anything wrong until it was requested that we change them. We were never given a chance to correct their behavior.

      I am rejecting this response because: The statement given by the owner of Broght Care Services is lacking information. The owner left out of her statement that her aids were threatening my mom with not having any help!  That’s why she didn’t complain and said thing were “ok”, also on multiple occasions I had to contact the owner to complain about multiple situations regarding my mother’s care.  The first aid told my mom the vaccine would kill her and never wore a mask or gloves exposing my mom to any germs.  This was during the beginning of COVID… this aid ended up getting COVID. This made my mom mad because at the time she got really sick luckily not with COVID. My mom didn’t want that negativity around her.  The second aid was rude, lazy, showered at my mom telling her if she was to make a stink she wouldn’t get help because no ones working these daysi. At the doctors my mom asked for water and the aid told her to drink from a water fountain that was taped up for COVID   My mom asked her to please ask the dr for water and the aid then told her to drink from the fountains got mad and threw the cup with angry at the wall scaring my mom. My mom finally gave me a list of things this aid was doing wrong   I called the owner immediately on the 4th of July for her to give me excuses and tell me to call back on a business day. I called my moms social worker and tried to get a new agency but they had to use bright care  services one more time. Then the third and last aid slept all the time(especially on my moms bed)didn’t show a few times and even had her boyfriend show up at my moms scaring the *** *** **** ****** **** * ****** *** ***** *** ********* **********. My sister immediately called the aid to get the same stuttering excuses…lack of care.  All I ever got from the owner was excuses, telling me the state isn’t paying much  and  even told me my mom was dramatic. When she’s the one running * **** business. hiring incompetent people to take care for people like my mom in need of immediate care !!

      I stand by what I have written before. Every time I called this client, she expressed that she is happy with my employees, and then she dismissed them without any warning.

      I would also like to mention that our company has a phone line open 24/7 for any emergencies that occur after business hours or on holidays. Any issues that are not emergencies should be dealt during regular business hours.
