      Prohealth changed their billing system at the beginning of the year. Whenever I go in or at least every third time, given that I regularly use the lab facility, I ask what my outstanding balance is and pay it. Due to the system change they "lost" a number of payments and are now chasing me. They sent me over to a debt collector for some of the bills (I had payed in full less than two week before the date they handed me over for). When I tried to make a payment arrangement they refused to make a payment for the amount handed over. They DON'T know how to manage a business and make their failure their clients problems! Not to mention that as a Physician being owned by an insurance company they are in total violation of any type of ethics!

      If your doctor tells you he or she is joining ProHealth, switch doctors. Their practice, in my opinion, is unethical. Before my doctor joined, I would have one physical per year. It is the one service my insurance covers at 100% (for the $12,000 I pay per year in premiums). Now that he joined ProHealth, he asked me to come back in six months despite no change in medications (in more than a decade) and no issues at the checkup. I didn’t understand why, but I did as told. Then, I got a $129 bill from ProHealth for the “follow-up visit” because it’s not coded as a wellness check. I called the doctor’s office and even though they agreed that the visit was a “checkup” since it wasn’t a follow-up to any complaint or change in medicine from the annual exam, ProHealth won’t approve more than one checkup per year - BUT they make the patient go twice a year to the doctor if they want prescriptions refilled. They shouldn’t have it both ways. If they don’t think you need to be checked on more than once a year if all is well, then it’s outrageous to say “but we need to check up on you every six months to make sure the medications that have been working for years are okay, and if you don’t do it, you’ll go without medicine for six months.” In my opinion, it’s a scam to make more money at best, extortion at worst. As a senior citizen, I think this is appalling. It will force people like me to scrape up more unnecessary payments or ration needed medications.

      Was encouraged to get a tetanus shot as part of a yearly physical. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for $684 minus my insurance copay of $116. Any pharmacy will offer the tetanus shot for $50-$100. Why is Prohealth so high? Seems like insurance fraud to me at this cost as well as personal larceny from my hsa funds. Please be aware and seek alternatives to any recommended immunizations from Prohealth.

      I blame whoever manages Prohealth Physicians for the debacle that continues with their ************ ** office. Dropping off my paperwork for the primary care P.A. was the easy part. Three weeks later, and approximately 3-4 hours of time on hold with dropped calls checking status and making calls that they should have made to request specialists notes, my Family Leave Act Paperwork is still incomplete. As I type this review, I am on hold now for 58 minutes and counting with two different people in the office picking up my held call all because whoever faxed the paperwork to *********, the carrier, forgot to fax BOTH sides of the double sided form. Completely incompetent staff. I was given a phone number to Prohealth Physicians Director of Patient Experience, "Tracy." I called today, August 23, and was greeted by Tracy's voicemail recording with a statement that she was out of the office and would not be checking her voicemail through August 12. After hearing that her own greeting was completely outdated I decided to leave a message for someone named Maria to call me back. Finally, Prohealth Physicians, Inc. has neglected to fix their broken payment portal. It's been broken for months. And they have the audacity to send threatening collections letters. Fix the online payment portal you fools! Come to your own conclusion but my advice would be to steer clear of Prohealth Physicians network. The owners of the company don't even deserve a single star but, I was forced to pick it.
