Second week of April 2023 during my sons April vacation from school, my family went on vacation, right before we left, my new car was scraped on a parking lot. Someone likely was backup out or into the parking space next to my car and brushed my bumper. The car had minor scratches on the bumper but everything was working. During the last week of August 2023, 4.5 months later, my family went on a short vacation again at which time safety sensors started flashing on the dashboard, safety sensors include backup camera and side mirror all of a sudden stopped working. The car had 18,600 miles on it and is fully covered under the BUMPER to BUMPER warranty Toyota offered me when they sold me the brand new car. When i arrived at toyota, they said the minor scratches occurred near/at the site of the sensor and refused to fix the safety issues under the bumper to bumper warranty. I had an apt with them at 8:30 AM, showed up, waiting 2.5 hours for them to even get my car into the shop to evaluate and I spoke to the guy in the parking lot before he took it in and even before he evaluated the car with his computer, he already made the determination that the minor scratches effected the sensor. Basically, 3 hours of waiting and this guy made the determination after making me wait 3 hours that toyota wouldn't honor the warranty without even going to toyota to make the claim to the warranty department. I spoke with 2 separate mechanics outside of Toyota who acknowledged that yes, the scratches can effect the sensor since its in the vicinity but they both asserted that because the sensors malfunctioned 4.5 months later, it is unlikely Toyota can or should make that weak link. Toyota wanted another $325 to fix this issue. I believe they owe me my $175 AND honor their warranty. I have made numerous attempts to work with Toyota on this issue with no success. I truly believe they are wrong and need to readjust their stance on this matter. Customer no ******, Invoice Date 8/29/2023, Invoice number is ****** **** ********Initial Complaint

I purchased new 2023 **** on 7/14 from Harford Toyota superstore. I put $1,000 deposit down on 6-09 as seen in credit statement. Upon delivery I put $15,000 total down, $10,000 cash $5,000 on debit. Brianna counted $10,000 in front of me and another guy took the money and counted to double check. After leaving I released that original $1,000 was never put towards car payment as promised. You can see in receipt on delivery attachment that no deposit with order applied. I reached out to Omar the same day (see attached emails with Omar), He assured me that the counted $10,000 and that I had put 16,000 cash on delivery. Then he calls back saying the application was only for $15,000 cash on delivery and the $1,000 deposit will be refunded. Two weeks went by with no refund. Then after two weeks they call to tell me they are only counting $8985 in cash and there is no refund. Omar then sends me a receipt 2 weeks after delivery that I was never shown at any point with the amount $8985. If you look at the receipt not shown till 2 weeks after delivery, you'll see It was created 3 days after I had picked up car. The fact there creating receipts days after the delivery and waiting 2 weeks to tell me that they are no longer counting 10k seems extremely unprofessional and shady. This needs to be documented and I need the $1000 deposit refunded back that has been stolen. After looking at reviews I see I'm not the only one this has happened to, I've attached one exampleCustomer response

My mother, (Ms. *******), and I (******* *******) have been a customer of Hartford Toyota Superstore for the past six years. On November 11 2019. We traded in our 2013 ****** **** for a 2019 ****** ****. Which at the time didn’t seem to have any issues or concerns on the vehicle. For the past 10 months. We’ve been dealing with different noises, and sounds coming from the front of the vehicle. (Humming, Rubbing). Hesitation sounds from the engine, and when coming to a regular stop. Brought the vehicle in to the dealership, made the complaint to get it checked. They (did) fixed the sound coming out from the motor (Engine) when the vehicle shifted gears from first to second. That was fixed, but I was also concern that my brakes are, and (still) making a double (clicking sound) went coming to a regular stop. I’ve never heard this, not even on our older model (previous vehicle), or any vehicle we have had in the pass made such strangely (clicking) noise. It’s a brand new car to have any type of “NOISES” as TOYOTA consider this matter. I did get it checked from “Hartford Toyota Superstore” again for the fourth time, for the same noise about 5 months ago 09/1/21, but don’t feel any difference or seem to get any better. Mechanic said , “He greased the brakes, and pats a few time we brought the vehicle in. The vehicle has now 26,000 miles. But went I started noticing this was NOT a normal sounds and made the complaint. The vehicle only had around 20,000 miles. I did my research seeking guidance for help, and came across the “Lemon Law” in the state of ***********. Which saids, and states that You have to have less then 25,000 miles, or less then two years with the vehicle. Though this was going to be the the light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately didn’t helped much. At this point I don’t feel safe neither does my family. I know this is not the dealer’s fault these are manufacturing issues. I just want my refund for the purchase that was made.
