I gave Patrick R****** of New England Creations (Phone ###-###-####) a check for $5,000 to begin work on my bathrooms. He deposited this on May 31, 2022. Since then, he has not performed any work for me. I wrote up a very long description with dates, but I ran out of characters in this form, so I attached my write up in a PDF.

In the summer of 2021, my decorator ****** ****** reached out to Patrick R******* owner of the company called New England Creations. He is a woodworker who came highly recommended to her. She went to his place to see his work and began the process of designing a dining room table and an office desk for my home. The kitchen table was delivered but the top was not cut to the correct dimensions. Patrick agreed to redo the top and delivered it in February 2022. No complaints at all about that finished product- it is beautiful and just what I wanted. The second piece Patrick was creating for me was an L-shaped custom desk for my husband’s office. My decorator ****** worked with him again on the design- light cherry wood frame with a few drawers to hide cords etc, with an opaque glass top.. He sent ****** a scratched drawing of what he envisioned and an example of what the legs would look like (see photos). The decorator and I cut out a specific template for him to follow for size and shape and she met him in Wilton CT to hand it off. (see photos). On 2/4/22, I paid New England Creations a 50% deposit for the desk- the amount of $1638.75 (invoice 1505 sent to me through **********). We last spoke to Patrick about the desk when he delivered my new table top. He said the frame of the desk was complete but the opaque glass was delayed. We asked him to look into getting the glass elsewhere (he mentioned NYC) as we were anxious to get the desk in our home. Now we have not heard anything from Patrick at New England Creations in months- my decorator has called him many many times and has texted. No response. I called and sent an inquiry in on his website- no response. He is not reachable and is not responding to any contact we have attempted. We are completely baffled and see no reason for him to ghost us. I am attaching the ********** invoice New England Creations sent me that shows my payment, as well as any other documentation I can provide you.

This must be a mix up, we did not do any business with anyone in the named complaint

      Customer response

      06/28/2022

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      1) I have never had any contact with a person named ******* *********- no idea who that is.  Was not able to find any person in ** by that name, as well as any business belonging to that person in ***  So not sure that person exists.

      2) All the contact information I provided in the complaint is the information my decorator and I used to contact Patrick R****** at New England Creations in Lakeville, ***  The phone number provided is the number used by Patrick R****** to text back and forth with my decorator.  See new attachments showing the discussion about the desk- Patrick received my 50% deposit through **********, as well as the expectation that the desk would be delivered in February 2022.  I have other texts that I could not attach due to limitations that showed more discussions about the specific design of the desk.

      3) I would think the business would have responded immediately when receiving the complaint if in fact they NEVER did any business with me- rather than wait the entire two weeks to provide a reaction.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******
