In October of 2022, I was called & informed by Sonya at Sweitzer Waste Removal that my garbage rate was increasing. I asked why? They said they were increasing their rates plus my uphill charge for garbage pick up. I said, I live on a rd in a private community where the garbage is picked up right from my driveway. She informed that for 6 years they have been charging me that. She then said she would address this to accounting. After an audit was done, it was determined that I had over charges of $1800. After not receiving a check back, I called and was told it would be a credit on my account. I said I dont own this house. I rather it be refunded to me. I asked to speak to Dave the owner. He never called me back once after 12 phone calls and numerous emails never responded to. Kristina responded to my email asking for an invoice for my account. I received an email stating that the $1800 would be applied as a credit & can be used for a family or friend. It would take me years to use that credit and my lease is up at the home I reside at. They admittedly said it was an error on their part and a credit was due. I wanted that credit in the form of a payment back & even told them to deduct the next quarterly payment in advance as I thought that would be the right thing to do. This company other than George the garbage man has been completely unprofessional and unethical!! I have screen shots of their one message stating what my credit is and wouldn't even send me a statement when asked! The owner never onced answered a call or tried to resolve this issue. It took me months to hear back from someone for them to tell me they are keeping my $1800! Consumers should be made aware of this. Plus they don't send invoices either. I have asked my attorney to pursue this & was advised to take them to small claims court which is my intention at this point. I have canceled my services with Sweitzer as I do not wish to do business with such a company. Who knows who else they have been ripping off too for years.
