I bought a 2016 ******* ****** from cars on main in *********** *** on 04/19/23. I put down $2,000 cash and financed the balance through ******* ***, which is primarily the company cars on main uses to help their customers obtain financing. The very next day, the check engine light came on. I contacted Carson**** and he/“Fatos” told me to bring it to the ******* dealership in *********** *** So I drove it back the 2.5 hours and dropped it off. I was then without a car for a week-ish until I was told it was ready to be picked up and “the problem fixed”. After picking it up and driving it 2.5hrs home, the check engine light came back on. At this point, I told the dealer I just wanted to get my money back. I expressed this to him via text, email and phone. He told me that was not an option as I had financing. He told me I had no choice but to bring it back to get repaired. Believing maybe he was right, I brought it back a few days later once I could find some help. Once again, I was left with no car. The car has now been in and out of the mechanics five times. I have not had the car for a total of one week without a check engine light being on since the day I purchased the car. I have asked the dealer several times for my money back. I’ve explained that I need to at least be provided with a rental car if my car continues to baffle the mechanics in charge of fixing it. He now says it needs a new engine. I just want out of this nightmare and I’ve made this perfectly clear but he has refused to comply. I don’t want to pay money for a car that has hardly been in my possession and that has proven to be such a mechanical disaster. The salesman/owner continues to tell me it is not an option for me to get a refund and he has yet to provide a rental. He told me he would on 06/16/23 but did not. This cannot be the legal solution to such a nightmare? I hope that someone can help. I don’t want to file a lawsuit but it is my next course of action. Thank you, ******* ******

I placed a deposit on a car, that they did not have the title for. They did not tell about this before I submitted my application and I have yet to receive the car.

In November of 2021 I purchased a car from CarsOnMain. I had to bring the car back twice for shaking issues. They claimed to have fixed it. On 5/21/22 the car would not accelerate and began losing speed on the *** ****** ******** I had to pull over. I took the car to the ****** dealership on 5/27/22 and I am told that the transmission is failing. Shaking is a sign of this. CarsOnMain knew from the beginning that the transmission was going bad putting my life in danger. I paid 10,000 plus for the vehicle to fix i cost 6300 they need to either fix the transmission or refund me part of my money.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

What kind of response is that? I made them aware of an issue I was having and they claimed the issue was fixed. The ****** dealership told me that the shaking that you can clearly see that I complained about in the email was caused by a failing transmission. They also gave me an estimate to repair it, so what exactly is not making any sense? Carsonmain continues to not take accountability for their actions. Their lack of empathy and concern is egregious and cannot continue. I purchased a car to have reliable transportation and I demand just that! There is no need for a car from a reputable dealership to go bad in less than 6 months especially since I made them aware of the issues early on. They knew the transmission was bad. Also, from reading other reviews they have done this to others.
      Sincerely,

      ****** *****

      Hi *******,

I did not receive your last email in regards to the Business's reply until you sent that message today.  I am asking you to re-open the case.  I am not satisfied with their answer.  As I mentioned before I brought the vehicle back for the same issue twice which was related to the transmission and they decided to fix something besides that, they knew the transmission was bad.  It was actually 6 months after that I was told the transmission was bad and that was also the same time it failed on me.  Please advise if this case can be re-opened.  Today, the cost of items are excessively high, I cannot afford to take care of my household, my ailing mother, my daughter's college expenses and also purchase another vehicle.  These car dealership should stop scamming people.
