On 5-6-23 @ 7:30 pm a group of 13 of use celebrating a birthday sat for dinner. When dinner was over we split the check evenly between 12 of us. The charge was $240 for each card. They brought our card and paper to sign. However, there was no place to write total and no signature line on the receipt. The wait staff said that the register had run out of paper and that we were to write the amount that we wanted charged to the card anywhere on the tape and sign our name on the tape anywhere. She said that the amount we write was the only amount she could charge to our card. It seemed weird but we complied. We wrote $240. A couple of days later our debit card was no longer working. When I called our bank they said, our account was locked, because David Burke prime steak charged our card for $240 (authorized), $574 and $454 (not authorized). Our card was ran several times with several different attempts, Including trying to access our savings account. But the bank caught it. I called the business to report what happened and became more suspicious. The manager (Terrell) asked me to send copies of the bank transactions and copies of my dinner receipt to his private cell phone number. When I asked if he had an email address that I could send it to, he replied no just send it to my cell phone. I tried to send an email to the info@ David Burke prime email address from the website but have not received any response. There is someone in their business that is using people's card numbers to get money. Having the manager of the business asking me to report this to his cell phone was even more suspicious. I have copies of the receipt from the night as well as screenshots of them trying to take money out of my accounts. My bank caught the issue and reversed overdraft charges but not without a lot of headache. But most importantly they need to find out who is ripping off their customers.

On Saturday, February 12th, I had to cancel my reservation with David Burke Prime because my husband had severe COVID symptoms. I was not told there would be a cancellation fee with this call. The next day I was charged $250 from David Burke Prime. I called twice on the 14th and 15th and left a message with an employee indicating the cancellation was due to COVID and was told a manager would call me back. I have not received communication back. I would not have cancelled if my husband had COVID, but it seems as though this restaurant has no remorse and is charging patrons even beyond the indicated cancellation fee of $100/person on OpenTable. I would like a full refund. I chose to stay home to prevent this illness from spreading at your restaurant and no one has the decency to call me back. I have tried calling again but the David Burke number now is routed to the greater Foxwoods resort and I have no idea how to access the restaurant. I also sent an email and received no response.
