I hired J Davis paving last April to pave my driveway. He paved it in a single day which sounds great but I started noticing major issues within the first week. Thing only got worse with alligator cracking, lines weren’t straight at all and edged were cracking off within 3 months of the job being done. I contacted The owner every 2 weeks for a year straight and every time he said he was coming next week to fix it. Never came and ended up blocking my number. Absolute hack job, untrustworthy and has absolutely no skill in asphalt paving. It’s going to cost me $6,000 to repair. The driveway looks like the circus came to town and tried their hand at paving. It’s embarrassing. Buyer beware.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract to have our driveway paved, which the owner of J. Davis Paving said would be completed by Oct 15, 2021. He demoed the driveway and then never came back to complete it. We paid in full so we asked for a partial refund for the work he didn't complete. He first said that he issued the refund back to our credit card, which was a lie, then he told us he would pay us back in installments on Jan 15, 2022 and Jan 25, 2022. He never did that either and has stopped responding to any of our inquiries, as of this date (March 17, 2022.) Furthermore, the contract that he had us sign was really under his brother's business. He claimed they are partners but his brother denies this. The owner of J. Davis Paving left us with a torn up driveway, no refund, interest charges on the money we spent for an incomplete job and now we will still have to come up with even more money to pay a separate company to ACTUALLY complete the job. Very, very, very poor business ethics and morals.Initial Complaint

On January 5th 2022 I contracted J***** Davis to fix a driveway at ** ******* *** ******* ** ****** He was going to install millings and roll/compact them. We agreed on $1800. I paid him half up front. He came on 1/19/2022 to install the millings and I observed that he had installed the materials. He was waiting for the roller to arrive. I paid him the remaining $900 expecting the work to be completed and left. I was advised by my tenants that the rolling was never completed because the roller machine had a dead battery. I contacted Mr. Davis several times to have him come back and finish the work and he stated that he would. I went to the property and confirmed with the tenants that the work had never been completed. I attempted several times to reach him and was ignored. I have had to hire someone else to fix the problem and would like a partial refund.
