Visited Mexico Tipico on May 7. It was not busy. There were several empty tables. Our table of 10 ordered several drinks - each person got at least one drink. My partner and I ordered one drink each and then ordered an entree to share. When we ordered, we indicated that we would be sharing the entree. The waitress said nothing about it and simply took the order. When we received the check, there was a surcharge for $4.95 that we couldn’t figure out (on top of the cost of our entree). When we asked, they said that it was a fee for sharing the entree (even though it was the exact same amount of food that would have been provided to one person ordering the same thing). Nowhere on the menu did it mention that an additional fee would be charged for sharing an entree and, as mentioned, the waitress never mentioned it either. The restaurant refused to remove the charge. You cannot charge people for things without telling them up front about the charge. Mexico Tipico scammed us out of money and refused to remove the charge when we called them out on it. They owe us a refund on at least the additional fee they charged and never disclosed up front.
