      I was sent a bill by NOW SECURITY SYSTEMS 10/1/2022, which I promptly paid out of my company checking account which was called just simplicity. Now is my alarm system for my home in *** **** ****. I live on a very low floor and I am vulnerable to possible break-in.. Shortly after I paid for the new year, which was November 2022 – November, 2023. My alarm system broke down. I called the company. They said they were going to install a new system. I waited and waited and waited. They never came to install the new system. I called them finally because I thought they had ordered it – and they told me they hadn’t even ordered it. I said well, then just give me back my money which was $446.54 and we will call it a day. They told me I had to send a certified letter. So I sent them a certified letter of which I still have the receipt. They acknowledged getting the letter. They continue not to give me back the money. Saying they had to speak to the owner-who was busy Finally, I just said, why don’t you just come and put the alarm in and we will continue working together. (I didn’t really wanna do that but I thought I should just get my $450 worth with a new alarm, but a different company monitoring it ) They said they had to think about that! I was taken aback! I said, “what’s there to think about? She said “you’re too far away, we don’t wanna do this. I wanted to know why she didn’t tell me sooner and send back my money? Then she said, “why don’t you use ADT. I said “OK send me back my check so I can have the money for my next alarm system-you’re leaving me without an alarm system in the middle of *** **** ****. She never sent the check. I am tired of calling. I’ve called every month since Nov. (9mths) I paid $446.54 for monitoring- w/o an alarm system there’s nothing to monitor They have given me the runaround. I’m tired of waiting & calling; I need to put in an alarm system & they’re sitting on my money. I would like my money back – that is my desired resolution.

      I have attempted to cancel my service for over 12 months now. Assumed the service was canceled after my last attempt as the central alarm service does not work as well as the actual hardware installed in the house is now faulty after being 5 years old. My calls and emails go unanswered and I sent a letter in writing to cancel. I have not used this service in over 18 months yet they stopped sending me bills for over 8 months then sent me a lump sum bill just 1 month ago. They are impossible to cancel their services and at this point it feels that I am locked in for life for a service that would not even work if someone broke down my door in the middle of the night. This is both immoral and unprofessional.
